Trying to crush micro stakes sit n gos!  +1
I have started playing micro stakes sit ngos again lately on pokerstars. Its the only site i can easily open 8 games at once. At this point im at a break even pace as i find it hard to calculate icm on the go with this many games. I know playing less games might be a wiser approach but im stubborn to get in as many games as possible with only short spurts of playing time available because of work and family responsibilities.

Anyone know of newer (free) training sites i can use to study this version of nl holdem?
Any grinders oit there who care to sshare some of their experiences to help me out?

Thanks in advance

I too try to olay many tables some time ago, I only can play 6 tables maximum and i play sit and go tournaments when at pokerstars was double or nothing sng. Now for long time real double or nothing sng are no long on offer in pokerstars do o don't play there. It is hard to play many tables, you can make many mistakes.

Thanks for the feedback.
Only way to get better is by making mistakes lol.
Im not losing money but im not making a profit yet. I feel like im so close...maybe varience is hitting me on the wrong side of the fence right now. Im not sure. I just feel like its do able im just missing something. Or maybe i just have to play a bigger sample of games. Time will tell

Hey CanadianAces, unfortunately we are not allowed to post here links to other poker sites, according to the forum rules, try to google it. For me, I was a winning sng player several years ago at non-holdem games, but then the field has become much tougher and I switched to other types of games. So can't advice much here, but wishing you good luck.

Hi CanadianAces, as Sandmanilo said, we cann´t advise you about other pages. But if you Googled: Poker´s School there are a lot of them. I was banned few times for this mistake but... you know that there are ICMtrainer it isn´t it?
I began recentlly my own S&G career in micro limits ($0,10 in 888poker) and, with snail steps I go up despite a weeks with negative variance (I thought that I become in the "Bubble Boy" Blink. I separated a little amount of my (little) poker money to play this step of S&G. I´m planning to up a level to $ 0,40 when I get my 100 BI of that game. I have 2 or 3 year to retirement and I think that I could make some knowledge for become a recreational winner and get some monthly money.
And You, why you have hurry, what is your plann? Smile

Keep in mind that your playing hours might be in direct relation with your success and the specific hours you could have for this will draw a specific playerpool as well (Europe - Americas time difference).
No good free training site will help you further, but there are plenty forums 4 cardplayers where useful stats and situational breakdowns available 4 anybody among different threads.

Yeah I mean back when I was more active pokerwise I noticed that my success was tied mostly with certain timeframes. Those other forums - well yeah it was not meant to be as a dis towards BRM, but there is very few strategic/deepdive etc. discussions going on here right now about poker, so you could be better of digging at other places where the only focus is on poker and not gambling in general.

CanadianAces, very well done on making a profit of $20 after having played 400 $0.50 buy-in single table tournaments. An approximately 10% return on your investment is pretty good considering that you play multiple tables simultaneously. Keep it up!

Wow CanadianAces, I maked 500 games between 888Poker and William Hill S&G...in two month!!
Certainly the multiple tables makes an enormous difference. I am playing two tables of 888 and one of WH, with a little of dificult. I think is imposible for me try of play eight tables. I´m thinking to try, in the near future, with four tables...a real challenge!
But whatever, congratulations for you and be carefull with the variance vengance! Big Smile

Its been an awesome run lately thats for sure.
Thanks guys for the feedback. It feels good to share some positive results.

I usually play mtts at 888 where i have a bigger bankroll. But pokerstars gave me 6 free spin and go tickets so I started playing there after I turned the tickets into 10 cash! I played a bit of cash games and got some free stars coins which i turned in 30 bucks and have been playing .50 sitngos since.
After my great run of cashing 9/10 games and another 5/8 today i have a grand total of $72 and im moving up to 1.50 games.

Poker ia so much fun when you win. Lol. I guess my game studying is paying off. (My wife gives me grief because i play way more then i used to but so far its a small price to pay lol &#128526 Blink

Tbh poker is only fun when you're winning otherwise it's just a grind with higher stress levels than a normal line of job would bring to you. Your wife will understand your hobby more when you will bring her to some nice restaurant later from the money you grind out right now literally out of nothing.

I guess you can play $1.50 STT comfortably with your $72 online poker bankroll. I started single-tabling $1.10 DoN at partypoker/bwin with $20 and have been doing just fine. There is a plethora of exploitable players in the partypoker small-stakes STTs.
Good luck, CanadianAces. Keep us updated.

Moving up to the 1.50 sitngos on stars is proving to be a real challenge. Playing 8 games at once has been a little tougher than i thought. Madea few silly mistakes that cost me a few cashes with exits at the bubble. Still confident I can do this but after playing 32 games yesterday im down to 71 dollars. The reward chests suck so loyalty points dont really pay off more then a few stars coins.
Gotta study more about push fold strategy but still feeli g confident

Hello, you can look in Internet Theres a lot sites, you can look to for training Videos or books, but when you play micro stakes Pokerstars is not the best site, here in the forum is a post,in the post you can read that Pokerstars have grow up the rake for micro stakes of a very high level.
You can better look for a other site where the rake is not so high,so is easly to make a better profit on micro stakes.
And when you can open 8 tables by stars you can open 8 tabels on a other site too Blink

Gl@ the tables

Hi CanadianAces, congrats for your perfomance! You are at one steps to become a winner semi-pro!
Returning to you question about tools for your training, I asume that you knowed this but...did you know that in the school of PokerStar are a tool named "Probability Calculator"? It´s with the "Hands Reproductor" in the home page.
It seem a good tool tha give you Equity calculate for hands you want to study, and range alculations.
I think it´s usefull for you...continue with good variance! Smile

I Have used that pokerschool before. Ive been browsing all i can find on the internet and its been helpful. Ive gotte a little to agressive with my pushing and thats whats killing me. Its a fine line to get to the bubble let alone break it. Im feeling as confident as ever as have dropped back down to the .50 games to retrace my steps.
All in good time. I never stop learning. I want to crush these stt s very badly and im going to accomplish this goal to take it off my bucket liat lol

Take it from a SNG pro, even if u can play 8 tables at once, still play less. I play 4,its just the right amount 4 me, plenty of action and i can make good decisions most of the time. And also dont play more then 5% of your BR, to minimize the down swing

I can see where your coming from and it makes alot of sense. I actually decided to switch from pokerstars back to 888. I dont know if i can play 8 games as the traffic is 5 times slower for stt.

Thanks for the insight SBEP.
