After several emails back and forth with partypoker, they have reassured me that immediate action was taken as per their internal security standards. And they have credited me US$5.50 in tournament dollars "as goodwill gesture." A pleasant surprise.
Thank you so much, partypoker/bwin!

Well read that part measures are being taken. Surely they are prohibited from playing those scammers.
And it seems to me a good gesture that they gave you that money, although in reality I do not know if you lost much more than that. At least it is something, and see that if one complains, they act.
You always have to complain. Otherwise, you give yourself impunity.

5.50 dollars ??? ... judging by your reports, you lost much more money in the game with these scammers ... or not? .... Or is this gesture of goodwill just the beginning and in the future they will give you more money ?. ... it's not very clear .... write here and tell us how the process is going

I am sorry, but I can't go into details.

I have no intention to quit playing double or nothing sit and go tournament, but maybe now is the perfect opportunity to try out different tournament formats (ex. knockout, heads-up, etc.) or just play cash games.

The amount doesn't really matter. Sometimes it's about the principle, ethics, values or whatever you wanna call it. If a company doesn't compensate you, they're not worth your time. Considering Tony took the time to make their room a better place by e-mailing support, I would have given him more than 5,50$. Even if he only lost 2$... Collusion is a big problem in online poker and this is probably a poor exemple. I'm sure there are some very experienced/talented colluders out there unfortunately.

well what do you know- double or nothing sit and go collusion again... those are just destined to be a cheaters paradise. we probably all remember how Chinese owned the dons at pokerstars a while ago and stars even got rid of such format, now same on party poker... sad reality I guess

and you do not think that in the cash games it is also possible collusion of players at the table? ..... or for example, one person will take five seats at the table (using virtual networks) and will wait for the victim? .... This option is also possible ... I do not think there is any guarantee that you will not fall under the scam

You're right, pajalnick. Anything's possible online. There's absolutely no guarantee.
Maybe I should play heads-up sit and go tournament so that I can be assured that my opponent at the poker table is not working with anyone.

------------
The sad truth is that collusion occurs everywhere both live and online.

A number of partypoker/bwin players who got swindled by predatory, nasty fraudulent cheaters seem to have received refund or compensation lately. You can find detailed information regarding the matter on the 2+2 poker forum.

Recent fraudulent activities seem to have affected numerous players. I have absolutely no idea if I was the only person who made a complaint or expressed a concern regarding the matter. I think partypoker fraud detection team did a pretty good job.

Do you mean that the same thing happened again in those types of tournaments? Or that the complaints were of the same time that happened to you?
I forgot to ask you in what game room it was, because sometimes I play those tournaments in PS, but I do not know if it was there that happened to you.
I'm glad that support has listened to people, and do something about it.

My previous remark was partly based on multiple comments on Two Plus Two Poker Forum. partypoker has no obligation to disclose detailed information, such as a list of all the games affected, all the victims, alleged colluders/swindlers.
