Step by step...a new way of playing  +1
As I telled in other threads, I stoped play S&G in 888 and so I stoped my career. I was feeling uncomfortable with my playing because in many times I didn´t know what I should do. I began to read all information that I could get in poker´s schoolls, articles, videos, etc. In two weeks I learn two important things: 1) the uncomfortable feeling was in the midle stage of the game and, 2) the problems were a tight hands´s selection. I had a good tigh first stage and good and intensive "push or fold" final stage, but in the midle I feel sorry droping Ax, little pairs, broadways, etc.
Now, yesterday, I started a new way and it´s feel good. I arrived 41 place in $ 6000 Pirates freeroll with 15000 players. I´m feel happy! Cool

of course the 41st place among 15000 ... or all the same 18000 players? ... 18000 players this is the maximum number of players in these tournaments and as a rule it happens ..... so ... 41st place is certainly a very good result. ... with the fast game in mind, you need a lot of luck in the game

It is always good to go over what you have learned, or better, to continue learning. That's why whenever you can, you have to keep reading. Knowledge is never enough.
I am happy for you, that you have noticed an error in your game, and you have been able to recover. Congratulations for arriving so far in the tournament. For many more better positions!

Poker is the game that takes minutes to learn but a lifetime to master. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. The value and importance of learning throughout our lives should not be underestimated. Good luck at the poker tables, maragatero.

Thanks for all of you! A little step for any good player, but a big jump for my understanding! It´s a shame that in this moment The Wheel don´t give me more tickets, I will buy it with my Golden Chips, but don´t like it!
I will try to show to you the screen, but today I have problems with it...

Maragatero...
Its very important to learn or relearn a little bit everyday. Believe it or not the more others learn the more the game changes. Just consider what you learned about your game. It made you a better player today and you had success. Imagine if 10000 people think like you did. If you fall behind the learning curve even a little bjt its so much harder to build your valuable bankroll.
Myself im sticking to the micro games and freerolls until I make 1000 bankroll. Then ill have the confidence to move up to make bigger profits. Study everyday until you are a master of the micros.
Ill meet you at the top 😃

Many people think poker is a game of pure chance, but in fact it is a game of skill. This tournaments with huge number of players,15k,you need a quite amount of luck to get ITM.Also require a constant pushing during all the phases of the tournament

Usually people who think like that have no idea of poker, or play just to have fun. It is as it says in the movie "Rounders", if it were just luck, how is it possible that in the final tables of the big tournaments you always see the same faces? Clearly it is a game of pure skill, where luck affects, but in a small percentage.

of course this is not a very big win .... but then the very fact of achieving such a high place is important ..... Of course the winnings are small but it stimulates the further game and gives confidence in oneself .... I wish you good luck in the game and so you achieved better results

And then, a cleared news: I continue with the bad variance, but being fine with my playing! It seem to me like a saying of a good friend of me "I had found that be sexagenarian haven´t relation with sex". In my situation study haven´t directly relation with win ..in the short time. Tongue

and I recently have something that does not work with my game .... maybe I'm a little bored with the game of poker and I'm trying to do some new moves and that's why it all happens .... maybe I should take a short break and try that something else ... it's hard for me to understand the problem

I´m sorry to hear that, ligador37...
Always in poker, it´s a good idea take a break when you are boring or losting. If you allow an advise, I recomeend you to study a little for make chages in your playing. Not only for remember some tips (especially with rank of hands) if not then for be sure with your move and to can recognize the variance. If you like poker, you will like to read about it, it isn´t it? Blink

Its very important to learn or relearn a little bit everyday.

No matter how much poker you know,to make profit you need to find weaker pleayers,so called recreational players(who make money elsewhere and find pleasure playing a few hours poker),because otherwise if play against better players, loose money due to rake or mistakes you made during game

It is important to have good luck with these weaker players because many fishes force your hands to call their all in. At low stakes you agree to pay pre flop or after flop and the software destroys you.
In addition, it seems that these players have learned in the meantime how to play and it's harder. Poker is no longer what it was like a few years ago. The childrens learned the game.

It is true. There are many players who have learned to play better, but it is also true that many more players are appearing, and there is always one who can not play, or at least does not know how to play so well. It is always good to take notes of the players and mark which ones are good, which ones are bad, which plays they do, whether they are regular or not, etc.

Yes ligador37 the harvest of fishes have no end! Big Smile
Notes are always a good idea, and the tracker´s program make it easy to obtain player´s info. But they could study and become a shark! We have to remember that the notes and the info´s program are a picture not the current reality! Blink
