the old ipoker sites host this game and for some reason 3 of a kind beats a str8?? lolol
i can understand how a flush beats a fullhouse as a flush is much harder to get with less outs.

then at pokerstars they have a straight from the 6 to the ace 6-7-8-9-a lolol
they are on the right track but in all honesty that is 2 incorrect versions of high ranking hands orders
but hey i didnt make the rules and still enjoy the game.

does anyone else or no?

I would say look up the rules first.

I know some basics of the game as I have played it once or twice in the past.

1 the 2,3,4,5, are not in the game
so Ace is high or low (so in straat it can count as a 5)
due to the fact you have more chance to hit a fullhouse then a flush (9 cards Spade Club Heart Diamond instead of 13) the flush is ranked higher than a fullhouse.
So there is a logical explanation ...so my advice just google the rules for 6 + holdm before you play it

The value of three of a kind vs straight can be different in some rooms, but as in normal hold'em, the ace can be either high or low. And low in 6+ means it represents a 5. So the straight is correct, it is just the same as a wheel in hold'em.

Good asvise to look up the rules, as the ranking of hands is different than we are used to.

I`m making an experiment, I`m sorry if I make some confusion...then at pokerstars they have a straight from the 6 to the ace 6-7-8-9-a lolol they are on the right track but in all honesty that is 2 incorrect versions of high ranking hands orders but hey i didnt make the rules and still enjoy the game. does anyone else or no?
Thanks and forgive me!

But in this game all "the rules" change, it isn´t it? You couldn´t calculate your outs, your odds and pot odds like the game with a whole deck. So you have to calculate your equity in another way. The projects change his value and you have to change their playing. You can play 6+ for curiosity or in recreational mode, but I don´t think that exist some reg of this Confused

This is just the way to make some money.
Learn the rules properly.... and use this advantage versus players that don t do that

so to calculte chances its the outs divided by the number of cards in the deck

to hit a set on the flop this means 2/30 + 2/29 + 2/28 --> 20.7% ( normal holdem its 12.2 %)

As there are only 9 cards of each suit the chance to hit a flush is lower than a fullhouse.--> so the rules are a flush beats a fullhouse (lots of beginners make this mistake as they are used to play standard holdem)

Mathwise makes sense but there's a reason why regular hold'em rules did not changed for decades and became more and more popular. It's still the best iteration of the game - so to start diddling with tweaks and changes based on what a minority of cardplayers want to play with... Dunno, I am not sur emost of us want this that bad.

For all the poker games it s important to follow some rule to pay profitable.

Like chosing starting hands, calculating your pot odds postflop etc.

This is different for each gameplay, so is different for HE than omaha or stud

So if you decide to play a game like 6+holdem I think it s normal you read the rule first (especially the sequence of handstrenght) and learn to calculate the correct pot odds.

When you play not commen games like this , it s often an new player pops up at the table which is an easy catch.

It's not THAT different, this is just hold'em with less playable cards - omaha/stud is kinda a whole other game almost.

There are regs on these games, i se nl2k games on stars and gg network. I was playing these games for a while amd was participating in some discord group. I must say the game is more fun then "normal" holdem but equities are much closer let's say TJs vs. AK is almoat 50-50. And the swings are realy big becouse of those equities, can be 20 buy ins +/- in a session. But if you could handle swings games are beatble and are very fishy right now. First two lowest limits you can eaay bit just by discipline, use some free stuff you can find and a bit of good sense. Gl

I tried twice this game , I saw players abandoning the table once they saw theiy couldn't win more or cause they started losing or because a fish left . i really hate this behavior at the tables of the cash games . Just imagine a casino , wherea player plays 10-20 hands , notlosing but winning , then leaving the table and going on another cash table a little farther , chasing all the time fish , running away all the time like a rat . Who would like to play with him in the future again , noone ??? But in online poker they conside this behavior normal . Online cash games tables are full of rats Smile

Never tried again these 6+ Holdem game since then , not ever again I will !!!!

Dont know where you play but people at micros play very straight forward. So its no need for any table select too much
But i dont see why table select is something bad. At the and of the day all that matters is that you win, not important how in my opinion. Even in life poker i saw table fall apart or guy just wait for one table to have open sit, nor just first they can get. I think thah most regs table select, couse your money comes from fish mostly not other regs.

The table selection all the time , by all players , is really frustrating to me rogerio . On PokerStars I got sick of players , playing with me when they won , then when they started losing very few blinds , they abandoned the table . The fish goes away ?? We also leave . We don't have good position ?? We leave , at least for now . And when they win , they expect you to stay at the table like a fool .

The times I saw tables being broken , then the same players going to other tables , or even opening new ones sometimes ( Smilelol) , are not few Smile . I also started playing like them , but I got tired and sick , then started playing only ZOOM on pokerstars , and the similar game on 888poker in the past , a little the fast forward game on partypoker . At least there it's a plyers' pool , different plyers on every hand , I like it more . F the HUDs Smile

Yeah i understand that, it's frustrating when fishes hits like 2-3 outers and insta leaves. And it's hard hard work constantly searching for best tables. So zoom instead of normal tables it's maybe not so bad idea if you dont like to table select. It's easier to take a break, when in the normal tables you cant be kicked out. And it's easier to take notes. Just pause all tables, take notes and start playing back. It the end it's like everything has some coins and pros and it's by everyone choice what will play.
