Sunday Million  0
Today i opened the Pokerstars software and i saw in their program that the Sunday Million buy-in is no longer $ 215.
They diminished the entry in this fabulous game.
Now she is only $ 109 and that is a good thing for many poker players.
If this amount remains and will not return to $ 215, it will be a nice surprise for players who play on these amounts. Cool

I think what they are going to do is over crowed the SM event, this way more people will play it, now over all i dont know how good this would be for the prize pool, i think it would shrink, and with the play field increasing over time a lot of players will simply not play, in short term it would give more players the chance to play the event, in long term more and more players will avoid the hustle

Yes, it has been written for some time that they have reduced from $ 215 to $ 109!
Good one I think! Sure more people will play!

This is better than before from my point of view. More players and more paid places. The sum for the 1st place is a very good one and the entry into tournament reduced by almost 50%.
In the game last Sunday 4th place won $ 49,300. Smile
It's better than before, if you think that now more people are earning and it is no longer a huge difference between 1st and 9th place.

Is good to enter there, but you have to look if the guaranteed prizes are the same that previous, and the maximum number of players don´t increase. Is really rare that PokerStar could make some adjustments to benefit his players. All the changes that they were proposed in the last time were for your enrichment only... Disagree

I think its good thing to reduce buy in to 109$ for sunday milion tournament, because now the more players will be in it.Less money to invest and the payout are like before only number of players are increased nothing more.Cheap buy in and ofc satelits for SM are cheaper too...
In past i play in SM severals time but now i dont have nervs to play tournaments where they have 300+ minutes of late reg.. Smile

That late registration is exhausting, in all terms.
If you have started playing from the beginning of the game, you can be playing for five hours
and still the same number of players or even more, to be in the game Smile
Of course if you have managed to be in that long, you might have a good stack,
hitting on the head the ones just joining Smile

I don`t play there, only some exceptional freeroll or something like that, but I didn´t believe that PokerStars is being generous. So I look for the dates and I found that: the rake was increased ($ 200+$15 to $ 100 + $ 9 = 7,5 % to 9 %) and the field was triplicated (i.e.: 5837 to 15550). So the prizes distribution changed (1052 to 2780 places prized), but the total prize did no change to much (i.e.: $1.167.400 to $ 1.450.000). But if you like it...go for it!

This variant is much better for all players in my opinion. With a smaller amount you can play and to
have bigger chances for ITM. When there are more paid places, you can recover money more easily but is also a disadvantage for players which will play longer for the final table. If they reduced the blind at 10-12 minutes is very very good. Smile

they probably see what party poker do with their promotions and tournaments and they want to make players to play more this bigger tournaments, but seems that they will lose fight against them!party offer much more for poker players in this moment and they will need to change more instead of just this buy in for one tournament!

You have to do the accounts CALICUL! If you play in a tournament of 5800 players and there are 1050 places paid, you have 18 % of the final players in the money. If you have 2700 in 15500, you have 17 %, and surely you will have to play more hours against three-time more villains . I think that, this result, turn the classic Sunday Millon in another tournament where PS win 60 % more
Cool

Regulars from these tournaments are ready to play for many hours. They sleep almost all day and is playing poker starting in the evening. They on the hour 3 or 4 in the morning are rested but me at that hour i'm already sleeping. They are professional players and me i'm just a player without much success.

That is relative CALICUL, the schedule have relation with the time zone. But the matter that you have to be used to play six hours is totally true. The last time that I played a big tourney was the big KO in 888poker (I don´t remember his name), and I finished in the bubble (with three KO in my pocket) really exhaust!

It does not matter the time zone. Players who register for this game are ready to play.
They sleep the day and play the night or they rest for a few hours and plays at night.
The others players just play the day, where the day is in their countries, when the tournament begins.

Oh, I understand now. You said that the player might take a nap, don´t matter what schedule have in his country. I would need to take a nap within the tournament Big Smile Six or seven hours is too much for me to keep concentrated facing a screen and making ICM calculations. Considering that you can be busted in the buble...no way!

the fact that there was an opportunity to play more ... people on the one hand are good for those who can now afford to pay to enter this tournament ... and on the other hand this is bad ... there will be more players and it will be harder to win .... so the resolution from PokerStars is probably good for some bad for other people.

For the final table it's a bit harder but if they did the blinds at 4-5 minutes then Pokerstars would go bankrupt. I understand they lost many players because of bad decisions but Sunday Million remains a strong tournament. Maybe in two years we will not see this tour again due to lack of participants but now this tournament is attractive for all sharks. Blink

Hey pajalnick...welcome again! Where you on a trip? Did you bring gifts for everyone? I will see you in the freerolls of Grey Snow!! Big Smile
The matter with this change on the Sunday Million Tournament is that it is part of the new strategy of PokerStars of make "creations" to make more money, and we have not to be confused about it. Somebody could be happy with it, but can`t think in a disinterested action of PS!

I think that's win win situation for players and Poker stars
It will be more players but maybe one day prize will go on time before black friday.
Im for cuti it 50% more and all of major tournaments ,
like 888 ad other sites already doing.

I don´t trust in the PokerStars intentions about his players. Including his intention about poker game in general. They are trying to build a "money machine" and do not worry if they have to destroy the game on the way. Look in the lot of new formats (like Split Omaha), the reduces of personal time, the disappearing of rake back, etc, etc, etc Disagree
