Phil Hellmuth Challenged by Rob Yong to Five $100,000 Heads up NLHE Matches

For many poker players, challenges and prop bets make their life even more exciting when they sometime want to get away from the humdrum of constant grinding they do at the poker tables. This particular challenge involves Phil Hellmuth (left) aka the Poker Brat and Rob Yong (right), the Dusk Till Dawn Casino owner. The ChallengeThe Poker Brat just got back from his first-time ever trip to Br[...]   Read more » Phil Hellmuth Challenged by Rob Yong to Five $100,000 Heads up NLHE Matches

when you have this kind of money on bank account, you cant make this kind of bets and head up and even if you lose this big bets, they will be not so much regret for this players!ofcourse its nice to win every time, but for them this more about wins and not for money!

Another bet for those that have not a problem losing that amount of money.
And if you consider that helmuth's opponent is a casino owner, guess
who will miss the less the money in case of a loss Smile
When your pockets are deep, you do this for fun...

Of course phill hellmuth accept this challenge because he think he is better poker player, but is 5 matches and this is not big number, so luck play very important situation. But also not 1 match, so i think phill have more chances to win more games. Maybe 3 or 4 of 5 total

This article reads less than a challenge, and more like a promotional stunt. A Party partner (Yong) and a special guest at a Party event (Hellmuth) agree to play 5 high stakes heads up matches. But at least it will not drag out as long as the Durrrr challenge.

Well this is going to be easy money for Phil, I predict a 4-1 win for Hellmuth there.

G'day mates
Well I must admit I will be looking forward to watching these games.I also hope to see Phil do very well. I always enjoyed watching him lose his mind on television in the past when he lost a hand Smile
Phil was a Very entertaining player who made the game more interesting and enjoyable to watch from home.

For Phil Helmut, this is not primarily a means of making money, but a means of popularizing himself in the poker community .... and here he is doing a great job ... doing good attractive actions ... that really attract attention .... it would be interesting to watch these games .... maybe there would be something interesting

This looks like it is going to be a fantastic challenge and i hope we can watch it somewhere. Rob Yong is a very good player, in my opinion, and it wouldn't surprise me if he came out on top

This should be an interesting match and no doubt one that was cooked up at the bar, bringing continued marketing to both Phil Helmuth and Dusk till Dawn. It would be great if this could also be live streamed and hopefully there will be some other great promotional stuff in the margins to get everyone involved!

This is probably a propaganda to make other players play heads up at higher stakes. I would not do that even if i were a billionaire. Playing huge stakes against Phil Hellmuth is very difficult and it's like you want to lose that money. I do not recommend that to anyone.

Rich people, wasting money in many occasions for nothing. Since they are not missing it, in any way.
And this is not the case, since it is a game, where they have the chance of doubling their money.
It is not a complete waste for them.
You are not recommending this, to us in this forum Smile or in general...

Phil Hellmuth is certainly a wonderful poker player .... but his opponent also did not learn to play poker yesterday ... and so the match should be very interesting .... because in this match there will be everything for a good game ..... great the stakes .... the great masters of the poker game .... a wonderful sight .... It would be very interesting to watch the video of their battle

These people are not that rich even though they are professional poker players. They can ruin in 2-3 days if they play heads up of $ 100k. This is too risky if it does not exist a rule to stop the game after 5 games as it is here. If people play more, they can lose everything and is a disaster for they.

You really think that phil helmuth will miss the 500k USD in case he is going
to lose the game? I really doubt about thath.
It is an amount that he can make back, just from playing tournaments,
as he only can. Sooner or later he will get it back from other games.

So for how many days this match will start ? Rob is great heads up players and I dont know why people think how Phil Hellmuth will win this easy, I do not think he has any chance to win. Expect from Rob to win this easy, meybe 4-1 or meybe even 5-0. GL

I was referring in general because most professional players have fortunes of 1-5 millions dollars and that can be lost in 2-3 days easily. You have a bad time and you've lost everything. There are famous cases like Isildur1 or Gus Hansen. Players can lose at heads up huge amounts in short time.

for this kind of players this isnt something special and they can play few heads ups without any problmes!its same like they play some big private tournaments with 500 000 buy in,like some players play in honk kong!this is just fun for them and they love to play with on high stakes!

Phil helmuth is not a player that will "sign Up" for a game that can get him broke.
There are players with bad money management,a dn that is true.
And i am talking about the professional ones.
But for some reason i believe he know what he is doing.
And again, not that he will miss that money, And of course im not talking about the casino
owner. It must be a night's earnings for him, from the casino business Smile
