2019 WSOP: Day 1b of the $10,000 NLHE MAIN EVENT Attracts 1,915 Players

On July 3, Wednesday, the 2019 WSOP Main Event kicked off smoothly with over 1,300 players duking it out on Day 1a. This breaks the record from last year's Day 1a of 925 participants. WSOP bracelet winner Bryan Campanello was the Day 1a chip leader with 417,500 in his bag, subsequently followed by Raymond Travis Rice (335,000), Timothy Su (297,300), Quentin Roussey (266,400), and Takehiro Kato [...]   Read more » 2019 WSOP: Day 1b of the $10,000 NLHE MAIN EVENT Attracts 1,915 Players

I am not sure it's good or bad if your piers describe you as a grinder who is in search of a min-cash... Kessler may not be a sharpest tool in this shed but I don't think he would shell out 10k just for buying into this for minimum cash. It's the Main Event after all.

This tournament it's more beautiful than the previous one that had 1,300 entries. I looked a little in the list and saw some famous names. I did not see the results of all the tournaments in this year at the WSOP, but here are big players who have no notable results. I think their fans are disappointed. Anyway, it's good that there are few new bracelet winners.

Yes...more interesting than day 1a, and some famous name didn't get nice stack. indicate how hard poker game competition. Not just skill and luck involve, stamina as well. Do they make special preparation for this ? never read article about that.

I read this article with interest .... very interesting results of the first day of the tournament .... But of course this is only the first day ... the most interesting will come later when there are not very many players left ... and among them there will be of course very strong players and most likely a few newbies who will claim the best game in their lives

Now is a tournament with 4900 players and that's very interesting. 10K the entry and from my point of view some tournaments are too attractive and others are avoided by many players. The most important thing is that: you have to make money but most players opt for certain games, not for all.
