PartyGaming founder sells his share in the company

Tags: Anurag Dikshit, Party Gaming, party poker, share, stocks.
Posted on 21 October 2009 by "T".

Anurag Dikshit is one of the founders of the leading online gaming company PartyGaming Plc. He has now decided to sell all his shares in the company after earlier this year announcing that he "only" would sell 2/3. The reason for this is that he wants to leave the betting industry and instead work with charity in Asia.

Anurag Dikshit owns 28 percent (worth around £188 millions) of ParyGaming's stocks. All the money he makes from selling his share in the company will go to the charity foundation in Asia that he intends to work full-time with in the future.

This is kind of news make me thinking.
Probably he'ws very rich and will remain rich after donation but compliments, it's not easy to give away so much money

This guy is obviously a decent person. I happen to think it's wrong that people are allowed to be multi-millionaires when there are so many living in poverty, even in the same country. He probably has enough money to live comfortably even without that money but the point is he's not just throwing money at charity like some millionaires who have so much they don't know what else to do with it, he's actually getting involved and devoting his time to charity which is amicable.

I'm guessing that's an american billion, which is 1000 million not a million million as it is in the UK. So it's still almost a fifth of his wealth he's giving away.
