EPT London: Peter Eastgate and Kevin Schaffel through to Day 3

The main event of EPT London attracted a huge starting field this time. Not less than 730 players took part this year (about 100 more than last year). Of the 730 players who signed up for the main event - 111 of them will play Day 3 of the tournament. Among these 111 players we find some really hot names at the moment in the world of poker. However, the 2 most interesting players to follow in Day 3 have to be these 2.....

Peter Eastgate, the PokerStars pro, won 2008 WSOP Main Event and wrote history as he became the youngest player ever to win the main event. But after the big win things hasn't been going so well for him as he has lost quite a lot of money online and also been quite anonymous in the bigger live tournaments. But now, it seems like the Dane is back stronger than ever as he has made it to day 3 of the tournament.

Kevin Schaffel, also a PokerStars pro, is one of the 2009 WSOP "November Nine" finalist and one of the chip leaders as Day 3 is about to start. He has played great poker since Day 1 of the tournament and the big stack he has build up is very well deserved.

Prize pool
The total prize pool of the Main Event in EPT London is £3,540,500 and the first prize is £850,000. Best chance to take home the EPT London title at the moment are the 5 players below (of course also Kevin Schaffel). But who knows? Maybe Peter Eastgate can build up his stack during day 3 of the tournament? Maybe he even can take home the tournament?

Top 5 players
Tommy Vedes, USA - 585.000
Rui Milhomens,Portugal - 488.000
Jean Montury, France - 485.500
Harri Suni, Finland - 423.000
Alex Wice, Canada - 420.500

Let's see if Eastgate can cash a big prize here and show that he is no only a lucky guy.
