Not less than 397 players came to start in World Poker Tour in Venice. But only 153 of them made it to Day 2. Not many of the famous poker pros that played day 1 made it to day 2. Most notable player left in the tournament at the moment is Michael "Timex" McDonald.
WPT in Venice attracted not less than 397 players this year. Notable players that started Day 1 were Anette Obrestad, Vanessa Rousso, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Johan Storåkers, Dario Minieri, Carlos Mortensen and Michael "Timex" McDonald. But it was only Michael "Timex" McDonald who made it to day 2. McDonald brings 95,800 chips with him from day 1 and is at the moment on 4th place. The total prize pool in WPT Venice is €1,5 million and the winner will take home €400,000.
About Michael "Timex" McDonald
Michael McDonald was born in Canada September 11th, 1989. He's the youngest player ever to win the European Poker Tour. At 18 years of age he won the EPT German Open in Dortmund and received €933,600. Earlier the same year he also won the PokerPro No Limit Hold'em event in Aussie Millions. In 2008 he won more than $1,500,000 only from live tournaments.
