It looks as the two WSOP Main Event finalists are going to fight it out once more but this time it will be on the virtual felt in a heads-up charity tournament hosted by PokerStars.

We are of course talking about Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov who where the last two standing in the 2008 WSOP Main Event and battled it out for the $9 Million first prize.

When they meet again this time it will be under slightly different circumstances as they will be playing for charity and the match will be held online at PokerStars.

The match will take place on the 26th of June at 18:00 ET and it will look the same as when they battled it out the first time. Eastgate will be starting with $80.300.000 in chips while Demidov will start with $56.600.000. The starting blinds are going to be set at $120.000/$240.000 and a $30.000 ante.

The winner of this re-match will receive a $10.000 first prize which he will then go on to donate to a charity of his choice. Eastgate is said to be playing for the Danish Refugee Council and Demidov is going to be playing for The Hospice Charity Fund "Vera" INN.

It will be very interesting to see how this match plays out. Something tells us that Eastgate is the best online player out of these two plus he holds the chip advantage from the start.

Who do you think will win?

Its good to know that poker also helps the more needed with charity campaigns. I am sure that, whoever wins, institution will apreciate the action. Social responsability is something everyone should think and care about, and people with money should act more, so that people with dificulties of whatever the kind, can continue living a bit better with their help!

I know PokerStars posts these kind of charity tournaments on their site, at the bottom of their 'past promotions' page: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promotions/past/

However, this one is not on there... No idea what the story is, maybe they have yet to update is (or maybe it was not a promotion, sorry, I don't play on PS very often)
