The EPT London Main Event attracted a field of 848 players, 339 players Day 1a and 509 players Day 1b, this time - a UK record tournament with a £4,112,800 prize pool! Both starting days are now in the books and it's soon time for Day 2 to kick off.

A field of 381 players will return to the poker tables in few hours and continue the battle towards the final table. In the remaining field of players one will find, for example, Phil Ivey, William Thorson and Daniel Negreanu. In the lead is Claudio Cecchi from Italy, and not far behind him are Soheb Porbandarwala (PokerStars qualifier) from USA and David Vamplew from UK.

I think that Phil Ivey will win this tournament, because he wants to win a big WSOPE main event. I think he is a solid poker pro.

Negreanu is not much of an online player or cash games in general for that matter but he rule at live events, hope he gets a big piece.

doz, last year a moderator on my forum won a seat to this very tournament in a freeroll on PS.

he ended up winning $32k coming 15th. At one point he wa chip leader and on the feature table with Eastgate and Obrestad.

Then when in 3rd place he went all in against the chip leader with pocket 3s against JJ.

33 seems to me a marginal hand only to be played if you have great chances of not being raised. But who knows what was going on on that hand. I've never played live, but I can imagine that's a lot more involved there that what one can see in online. Tells, for example.

Same here.
Negreanu is a fun player to watch and I like his style of play.
He`s one of the players who has the most fun IMO.
He`s also the best in reading other people`s hands.

Some of his "reads" on Youtube are incredible.
