Tom "durrrr" Dwan ended last week in the best possible way at Full Tilt Poker. In just 2,362 hands, Dwan managed to win over 1,5 million dollars. Most of this money came from a thrilling heads-up battle against finnish poker star Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies at a $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha table. Four of the pots in this session topped the $275,000 mark, durrrr won all of them, including a monster pot of $416,996.

Here is how the hand was played out:

Ziigmund sits with a $207k stack while durrrr has a stack of $345,000. Ziigmund bets $3,000 and durrrr raise to $9,000. Ziigmund four-bet to $18,000 and Dwan calls. Flop is JHeart8Spade5Heart. Durrrr checks and Ziigmund bets $36,000. Durrrr thinks for while before he raise to $144,000. Samahies moves all in for $189,998 and durrrr calls.

durrrr: AHeart10Club7Club6Heart
Ziigmund ADiamondJDiamond9Spade8Club

Ziigmund has 2 pairs and now he's up against durrrr's nut-flush draw and straight draw. A 4Club comes on the turn and now durrrr has a straight. Only 4 cars in the deck can help Ziigmund win the hand now. The turn card is a QClub and durrrr takes home the $415,996 pot with a straight.

Thats a standard for high stakes rollers. Playing heads up plo takes a lot less to win a hand than in 6max.

But to win with 2632 hands over 1,5M is something to talk about. One again Dwan owned Thumbs Up Evil

duck1991 u should never play Omaha if u think that is a tilt move. He had top pairs, all in is what she should be, ofc the draws agianst him was monsterous but imagine turn K river Q, or Better turn J or 8?

I love to see great highstakes like this but unfortunately we don't have lots of high action and 'crazy' players like Tom and Ziig...

For durrrr, it's easy money vs Ziig...

1.5 mil $ in 1 day, zigmund is again having bad times. he had some luck earlier this year but hes back to losing big again. maybe his crazy playing style is working against him

I won't ever be accostumed in reading news like this: 1,5 million in a hand it's a huge amount of money.
 BMan9812/10/2010 15:56:44 GMT
This is one of the reasons I don't like PLO. There are too many outs. Even if you don't push like Ziigmund did, you call with the best hand, then you get sucked out on. I guess that's why they say it is a high variance game.

i cant help it, such pots for a single hand just make me sick.
and I really dont understand the all in by Ziigmund, but thats just me Blink
 JasonOost14/10/2010 12:37:55 GMT
That is sick to win so much
 danidoyle23/11/2010 14:05:32 GMT
If say Durrrr loses, is that money outta full tilts pocket or his?? You'd wanna have one massive bankroll yourself if going into pots that size regularly
