Tony G: I'm buying Eastgate's bracelet for my dog

Posted on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 by "J".

The highest bid of Peter Eastgate WSOP bracelet is at the time of writing at $ 16,600, but before long Tony G will go in and outbid, he says. He will make the bracelet into a dog collar.

It sparked widespread outrage when the Danish ex-world champion Peter Eastgate on Monday announced that he would discard his WSOP bracelet in an auction on eBay.

At present, a user stands to get the unique bracelet for $ 16,600, but that's not how it's gonna end, Tony G announces in a new blog.

- I've decided that I want to buy Peter Eastgate's WSOP champion bracelet. It currently stands at $ 16,500 on eBay, and I'm going to take the lead with a bid of $ 17,500.

- I do not expect multiple bids, since I know there are very few people who have heart and courage enough to challenge a determined Tony G writes the Lithuanian-born Australian in the blog at PartyPoker.

The dog gets the bracelet
Tony G does not have a WSOP bracelet in his own trophy collection, and the plan is definitely not to 'decorate himselve with borrowed feathers. " Instead he will have the 168 gram heavy bracelet made into a dog collar to his Alsatian Zasko.

- You might not think that I mean it seriously, but I'm deadly serious. My dog is going to go with 'The Great Dane' Eastgate's bracelet - Mark my words.

Tony G further writes that he is in no way trying to ridicule Peter Eastgate's victory.

- I respect Peter's decision to choose a different path - everyone neeeds to find their own happiness and I hope that the money the bracelet generates, will be put to good use.

Good luck on the auctions. If it is for the dog then it is good. The dog is fore sure more quiet and pleasant than his owner, and by far a better poker player than Eastgate. Big Smile

I reckon their should be a poker 'Hall Of Shame',and Peter Eastgate should be added to it and banned from entering live poker tournaments after selling his bracelet, also players who have been caught cheating such as Russ Hamilton etc should be added to it,what do you think?

This auction is most likely the only chance Tony has to get a bracelett. Big Smile

And if his dog want a bracelett, it should win one on its own.

Lol i find that kind of funny. I dont really know who Tony G is but i have heard of him. When i read the topic of the thread though it made me chuckle. But wow paying over 1600 for your dog to wear anything is crazy in itself.
 Aggro66611/19/2010 3:28:05 AM GMT
hm, why to pay it for the dog, he has no donkey? would be the best place as today 95% of the players think, they are LittleDurrrss and one of them get lucky...
