Last weekend, PokerStars (in the connection with the last EPT tournament of the season) dealt out the EPT awards for this year. William Thorson, the swedish PokerStars Pro, received the award for best Omaha player. William has been very successful in different PL Omaha events at EPT London and Bahamas.
Maxim Lykov received the EPT Player of the Year award. Lykov won EPT Kiev in the beginning of the season, then he won a side-event at PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January. He also finished in 13th place in EPT Snowfest + a few other good results in other side-events.
Allan Baekke received the EPT Achievement of the Year award for his fantastic results in 6th season of EPT. Baekke won EPT Snowfest and ended up in 12th place in San Remo.
68-year-old Pierre Neuville from Belgium won the Online Qualifier of the Year award. Neuville qualified for not less than 10 of 13 EPT events through satellites.
EPT Berlin champ Kevin MacPhee won the Players´ Choice Award.
The Mixed Game Player of the Year award was an eight-way tie which will be dedided with an Online Deep Stack Sit and Go on PokerStars in May. These are the 8 players who will battle for the award, Matthias Kuerschner, Team PokerStars Pro Katja Thater and Benjamin Kang from Germany, Scott Clements and Mike Gorodinsky from USA, Team PokerStars Pros Joe Hachem and Alex Kravchenko, and last but not least Irari Tahkokallio from Finaland.
