Greece has waited a very long time for the European Poker Tour to pay them a visit. Yesterday, the long wait was finally over as the first ever EPT Loutraki main event kicked off. Day 1a attracted a field of 145 runners who could afford the buy-in of €4,400.
Many all ins and Bad beats later the first day came to and end with 102 remaining players, and Julian Herold, from Germany, is the chip leader with a stack of 138k. A few notables that will join Herold at the poker tables tomorrow are Ana Marques, Chris Moorman and David Vamplew.
Now, it will be interesting to see how many players that will come and play Day 1b today. Let's hope for at least 200 players so there will be a nice prize pool.
