Police raid against Swedish casino

Tags: casino cosmopol gothenburg, raid, scam.

Early this morning the police made a raid against Casino Cosmopol in Gothenburg, Sweden. The raid resulted in that 8 persons were arrested, of which 7 worked at the casino. According to the police, these 8 persons (2 men and 6 women) have cheated the casino of hundreds of thousands (Swedish crowns) since the summer this year.

The fraud has taken place at the casino's game tables and thanks to security cameras and security staff the police have plenty of proof. The arrested persons will be heard by the police during the day and it's probably just a matter of time before the police can give further information on the matter.

Sounds interesting.
I think most people know casinos tend to be more secure than fort Knox, so Id love to know what they were doing, how and why they thought they could beat/cheat the casinos.

Interesting news, i guess it's really tempting to take a cut of the money when you have so many money in your hands...

We'll need to wait to see what really happend over there but i heard of similar cases in eu and us too...

Well, the only thing I can say is that this is Sweden. It's not like in that movie Casino, with Robert DeNiro, where they break your hands and kneecaps and stuff if you try to cheat the casino. Here they get a slap on the wrist and an angry email from the boss, telling them they wont be invited to the company pic-nic... Disagree

I don't think they will like the fine or detention time for the fraud they did either Blink

The news don’t say, but they should probably be higher personnel from the casino, I can’t imagine someone from the rooms working out to steal more than cards or chips (or perhaps some drinks… Blink. And its interesting to see that looks like this scheme had more women than men…

Good news that the police have captured the criminals and I hope they serve lifetime behind bars, earn your money and do not steal.

It seems to me that these people did not want to share with anyone that their profits were not legal, because the police have evidence? where they are, but it's good that these people have work to do because honestly, the more the casino)
