Today an intensive tournament period begins in the capital of Czech Republic, Prague. For 11 days World Poker Tour, European Poker Tour and GSOP Live will be played, and lots of pros are expected to take part.

First out is Day 1a of the WPT Prag main event. The buy-in is €3500 and the tournament is a multi entry tournament, which means that players that get knocked out during Day 1a can enter Day 1b as well. Hopefully this will give the tournament a nice prize pool.

On Monday, the same day as the WPT final table will be played, PokerStars EPT Prag will kick off and be played till Saturday. And during EPT also GSOP Live will begin. GSOP Live will continue until December 11th.

What poer pros will register on this tournament, i heard there will be some big names but so far we didn't any real names so far...

I think Prague it's a good place for a WPT, especially this part of the year.

I think that tournaments like EPT shouldn't have rebuy-in because it's not fair. Tones of players will play because they have fought in satellites against thousands of people, so they only have one opportunity. Otherwise, the pros are so rich that play aggressively at first becase they perfectly know they have more opportunities.

I like this kind of format.. If you get busted on day 1 you still can reenter .. Makes travel costs less important.. Sucks to go bust in the first hand in a foreing city.. Lol

Wish i had the money to play in the EPT.. I'm not a big fan of the WPT structure. As for the rebuy structure, I could care less either way.. I like the idea because it makes the prize pool, but it has its cons too. Someone mentioned earlier that people who have competed in Live and Online Sats for the tourny only get one shot at it, where the pros have the bankroll to rebuy.. also, what happens when you bust both days? Someone like me would have just lost a ton of money, due to travel costs and 2 buy-ins. However, back to the pros of the rebuy structure, it makes for 2 - 4 days of awesome live poker. Smile

So many events all taking place in the same city. Prague inhabitants who like poker will sure have lot to see during the next two weeks. And they will have lot to learn about with so many pros with guaranteed presence.
