HighStakes: "Ziigmund" cleaned out Antonius' account

Patrik Antonius and Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies, both from Finland, played an action-filled (but short) heads-up the other day that thousands of people watched on PokerStars. Sahamies, who's one of the biggest winners this year, took the command almost straight away and totally dominated against his fellow country men. In fact, he took every single cent from Antonius account - about 190k US dollars - and the game was over.

Well, not for Sahamies. Instead of enjoying the win and eating some Christmas turkey, Sahamies continued playing at PokerStars nosebleed tables. Unfortunately things didn't go so well from there on but still he got away with a profit of about $144k for the day.

Patrik Antonius has incredible day is playing incredibly well and sweeps the other players, but at other times he seems too impulsive on the table and lost everything, yet in my opinion is one of the best players in the world, beautiful Christmas present for Ilari "Ziigmund "Sahamies

way too much money!

Now that's gotta hurt. I get pissy when lose a $50 dollar bankroll. 190K in one session isn't going to make Antonious smile.

Thats nothing compared to the session he played the next day when a canadian player took almost 500.000 $ from Patrik Antonius.

I already posted an thread with that sick session, so guys make sure to check that out too Blink

Patrick should have been still suffering from Christmas hangover, what do you say? Or was it Sahamies that stop drinking and is already in treatment, which is having this quick effect of mental brightness? I had Antonius way above Sahamies in my own poker figures ranking, but knowing of such heavy defeat, looks like things will change in 2012…

not being funny but these so called news reports what bankroll mob do are full of shhit,,, sorry to say,,,,,,,,, you REALLY need to get the fact right who ever does the news here,

here is the real news from dozn01 and the real FACTS...

Patrik Antonius AKA FakeLove888 LOST $-233,381.00
in 349 hands on the 27th of dec to Ilari "Ziigmund" AKA Ilari FIN

also it wasnt all of his money from his poker account
because soon after that session Antonius played
$1000/$2000 FLH (10-max) and won $31,177.00 in 53 hands,
but the epic news is not Antonius losing $-233,381.00 to Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies

its losing $-392,604.00 playing $200/$400 PLO (6-max) over 921 hands on the 29th of dec to 1Il|1Il|1il| no one knows who is the player called 1Il|1Il|1il|
many people think its phil ivey or even tom dwan, but hopefully we will get to know who it is very soon as there are nearly 1million in profit and giving the regs high stakes player a run for there money

 TheMachineQC30/12/2011 12:19:38 GMT
Between that and what is happening to full tilt poker, Antonius' bank account must be suffering! But I don't think he's the kind of guy that will back down and stop playing. Even if he goes bankrupt he's gonna find someone to stake him Big Smile

I wonder who's that 1il guy, what country is he from?

Have to agree dozn01, I have said it before, some of these reports are so badly written I feel ashamed to read them.
I would much rather see 1 good report a week than 2 bad ones a day, they even get feed across the net, must look bad for those who have a clue.
You expect to see a few hi-light hands, but no, just a, "and the game was over."

BTW if you lose $-233,381.00 then you have won.

Wow 200k its chump change to them they have 15m life rolls so i don't think they care maybe if they lost 1m in 1 session id read it but 200k is soo small
 IceFingers18/01/2012 10:04:36 GMT
Christ, I bet there 200k is like our £10/£20 loose change, if only it was that simple for everyone.
