After summarizing 2010's high stakes games online, we have completed a list over 2010's most successful poker players at Full Tilt Poker. It really ended up being the year of the "newcomers" - Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates grabbed the first place with over $5.5 million won and Andreas "Skjervoy" Torbergsen ended up in second place with almost $3,8 million.

As it goes for Brian Townsend, who was a big winner 2009, he ended up losing the most 2010. Townsend was losing almost every single month and for a long time "the battle" for the not-so-glamorous first place on 2010's biggest loser list was between him and the Finnish poker star Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies. However, Townsend ended up losing $4 million dollars and Ziigmund about $2 millions.

2010's biggest winners and losers

1. Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates - $5,503,296 (145,212 hands)
2. Andreas "Skjervoy" Torbergsen - $3,778,763 (43,504 hands)
3. Tom "durrrr" Dwan - $3,607,939 (296,725 hands)
4. Phil Ivey - $3,002,798 (48,644 hands)
5. Di "urindanger" Dang - $2,126,722 (185,838 hands)
6. Jared "Harrington25" Bleznick - $2,086,788 (138,897 hands)
7. LokoIsBack - $2,002,341 (86,609 hands)
8. Alex "PostflopAction" - $1,631,581 (76,046 hands)
9. Aston "theASHMAN103" Griffin - $1,552,731 (79,311 hands)
10 DrugsOrMe - $1,365,762 (36,854 hands)

1. Brian Townsend -$2,534,059 (also 5th place)
2. Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies -$2,007,090

It was kinda obvious he will be the best player of this year.
I am also happy Brian Townsend is bigger looser... never liked that guy.

For me this is prove that Phil Ivey is THE BEST player today. It doesnt matter is he playing live or online he almost always is a winner!

Phil Ivey is definitely proving himself to be the best in the world. However HU Jungleman is an absolute monster, and I am anxious to see the final outcome of his challenge versus durrrr.

Winning 5M$ just for playing online? WOW!!!
Loosing 2M$ doing exactly the same? Tchh...
Some guys really LOVE to play poker. There are some things i can't understand. Ok, so should be nice to live life with money won at online tables, and must be a crap to try to do that and end up loosing a lot instead. This guys' wives must pass the days beating on their heads...

Good start to the new year for the jungleman. In the challenge against Dwan he won over 300k in less than 3000 hands. Now up over 800k in total in that challenge.

Yeah - I was pleased to see he didn't finish at the top of that.. If you look how much Jungleman is up for example, being 1.6M down isn't TOO BAD for the stakes they're playing.. I always imagined it was a lot worse for Gus.
 adohole06/05/2011 19:37:06 GMT
i think that gus isnt an online player he is good in live but not online
 scaramoes19/05/2011 10:41:57 GMT
