Jack Ury passes away at age 97

A legend and world record holder has left us. Last Thursday, Jack Ury , WSOP's oldest participant, passed away at the age of 97 in his home in Terra Haute, Indiana. Jack Ury took part in last year's WSOP at the age of 97 and, once again, he became the oldest participant at the World Series of Poker.

Jack Ury's most memorable moment, if you ask me, was at the 2009 WSOP Main Event in a hand against Stephen Friedlander. The flop came 7Spade6Diamond6Club. Ury bet 1,000 and Friendlander went all-in. Ury called and Friedlander flipped over 7Heart6Heart for a full house. At that point, everyone thought that Ury's tournament was about to end.

Ury waited a while before turning over his cards, telling Friedlander, "You're in trouble", before showing his 7Diamond7Club for a better full house.

Jack Ury will be missed and remembered by many! Rest in peace!

I believed him because those news appeared in all the poker forum at the same time. Don't worry because when Doyle Brunson die (I hope he does as late as possible) the whole world of poker will notice it!

That's a video to store and view over and over! Very nice poker moment, almost hilarious to see Ury's figure, typical old man, looks like he doesnt hear and see well Friedlander's hand, and then he shows his 77 and puts everyone laughing and congratulating him. I bet he was like a mascot of WSOP!
