WPT Venice: Day 1a in the books - 101 players made it to Day 2

Day 1a of the WPT Venice Main Event is in the books. 218 players signed up for the very first starting day and 101 of them have chips left and will return to play Day 2. The one who will bring the biggest stack from Day 1a to Day 2 is Isaia Alession (212,000), and almost 50k behind him, in second place, Malinov Radoslav Dimitrov with 165,000.

Day 1b of the tournament is running at the moment. We will return with an update as soon as the tournament crew calls it a day.

Never heared of that tournament to be honest.
Not mentioned any big player so it's looks like a small one.

Haven't you ever heard about WPT??? World Poker Tour?? I think is the second most important tournament in the poker world.

Its really funny to read Zmx comment Smile About the news, now that we know the winner its easier to talk about it. It wasn't a huge field but i believe 218 can be considered very good number of players, taking in consideration that, a few years ago, you wouldn't see even half of it i guess. Many new players are trying their skills at higher amounts and thats very nice to see. And there's also much more sponsored players, which means game quality!
