WPT Barcelona begins today |

 The WPT-final at the Bellagio in Vegas came to an end less than a week ago. Today at 15:00 CET, it's time for the WPT Spanish Championship at the Gran Casino in Barcelona, Spain. It cost €3,500 to enter the tournament, and a large field of players are expected to take part.
The final table, where some serious cash is up for grabs, will be played on Sunday. Unfortunately there won't be a High Roller event this time, but there are plenty of other events with large buy-ins, so hopefully many big names that get knocked out of the Main Event will stay in Barcelona.
We will keep you updated on the Main Event and other interesting events.

| Haha, google translate for the win? And what more to say than good luck to all players at the WPT Barcelona.. I would love to take down that price money.. But €3,500 to enter.. Woow.. :O

Yes, WPT Barcelona starts today but to my knowledge there is no important name that registered to this poker event. Frankly i don't know why since the buy in is pretty okay, so are the prize pool and location of the event.
On the other hand this WPT doesn't have a high roller event where usually the big names are coming and join the action. Still, there are many succesuful online poker players that want a WPT title in their CV, so this could be a good opportunity to profit from and grab one of those titles. I saw some people commented that the fact that spanish players are so loose and there are many spanish players registered the game would not be fun, but i really doubt it, since players that have money for that buy in definately play good and are not maniacs.
We'll see if there will be important names joining the action and who will take the big prieze.
