6 days have now passed since the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event kicked off. In the 42-year history of WSOP, the Main Event this year is the third-largest ever, with 6,865 participants and more than 1.4 billion in prize money. Anyhow, the 4 starting days are in the books and also Day 2a (822 of 2,031 through to Day 3). We are now waiting for the official Day 2b results to be released. It will be interesting to see how many survived from the 2490-player field.

Below you can see a list of well-known players with chips left:

Doug Lee, Freddy Deeb, Alexandre Gomes, Donny Mizrachi, Phil Laak, Matt Matros, Kristy Gazes, David Bach, David Oppenheim, Joshua Tieman, Fred Berger, Shannon Shorr, Adam Junglen, Brad Garrett, Minh Ly, Mike Caro, Jason Mercier, Dan Shak, Jason Alexander, Daniel Negreanu, Annette Obrestad, Mickey Appleman, Ted Forrest, Lee Childs, Shaun Deeb, J.P. Thumbs up fo Ben Lamb, he really is a great live poker players, frankly i would be more than happy if he could take the big prize home Smile

Patrik Antonius also found himself well inside the days top 10 at the close of play accumulating a 361k stack, so maybe we'll also have some part of action this year from this top finnish player Blink

On the other hand Some of the big names to fall in day 2a include 2003 runner up Sam Farha, two time winner Johnny Chan, last years winner Jonathan Duhamel and online sensation Daniel “Jungleman12” Cates, but well at least Daniel always admitted he isn't a tournament player Smile
