It's not only poker companies that are leaving the U.S. market after Black Friday, also many online pros have decided to leave the country. Brian Hastings, who won $4 million against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in a single session in December 2009, is one of these players. In Hastings blog, one can read that he's getting more and more into live poker but that he still wants to make a short-term move Canada in order to play some high stakes poker online.

"Now, the question I'm asking myself is what my next move is. Despite my newfound liking of live poker, I really don't like Vegas and just can't imagine spending any more time there than the WSOP and a few shorter trips during tourneys or whatnot. I think my earn potential is still highest online unless I can get into some really good and big live games regularly, and as that seems somewhat unlikely, I'm leaning toward a short term move to Canada (at least until it gets too cold," Brian Hastings writes in his blog.

Let's hope that Hastings won't repeat Daniel "jungleman12" Cates, 2010's biggest winner online, mistake to not apply for a visa before heading to Canada. Incase you didn't hear that story, we can inform you that Cates had to turn around at the border after hours of traveling.

sooner or later all of them gonna move to other countries, too much money involved for them.

I would love to see Brian Hastings playing with Isildur1 again at the PLO tables from pokerstars, from what i know hastings already has an poker account there...

From what i saw brian hastings respect a very tight bankrollmanagement and after couple of buy ins lost he stops playing for the day...

I don't think that session will ever repeat in the future of online poker if you ask me, butit was nice to watch Smile

I dont think this will be a rule among pro online poker players, those who are leaving US do it to continue playing in the imediate. Online poker industry will find a solution to converge with US law in order to be available to continue activity in that country, which probably represent the biggest % of profit in the world to this industry.
