Yesterday, the final table of World Poker Tour Legends of Poker in Los Angeles was played. In total, 757 players took part in the tournament and 6 of them made it to the final table. But even though quite a few notables took part in the tournament it ended up being an anonymous final table. Will "The Thrill" Failla arrived at the final table with the largest stack.

At first, he stumbled a bit and lost his lead. But then he started playing better and it didn't take long before he was the last man standing. For the win, Failla received $758,085 and the first title on WPT Season X and the first WPT title of his carer. According to different tracking sites, Failla has now nearly $3 million in live tournament winnings.

Final table results:
1st: Will "The Thrill" Failla - $758,085
2nd: Ken "Teach" Aldridge - $365,800
3rd: Jeff Vertes - $186,400
4th: Joshua Pollock - $128,500
5th: Adam Aronson - $102,800
6th: Owais Ahmed - $77,100

If i was a sponsor of a great name that had made part of the field of this tourney, i would ask him would could have been possible for something like this to happen? When a big name wins a big tourney, there is no question in that, but when big poker names play amongst unknown players and dont get to go further, i am sure sponsors question them about their results. But good for Will, maybe he can get to be sponsored to enter in a few big tourneys for free, i think he would love it, dressing the shirt!

I have no idea who Will Failla is, but it sure is a nice win! 3 millions career winnings he must be a good player for sure.

Who were the pros you're talking about in that tournament? Must be nice to play against well known pros, especially when you bust them Big Smile

What was the buy-in of that tournament?
