44 survivors returned for the second day of the 2012 PokerStars EPT Sanremo €10,000 High Roller yesterday. When the day started, Brandon Barnes was the chip leader, and other notables remaining were Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, Jonathan Duhamel and Eugene Katchalov. Unfortunately neither of them made it to the money, and Barnes was eliminated in 9th place for €20,600.

When the final table kicks off today, Joel Nordkvist will have a big lead with 1,2 million chips. The Swede's biggest tournament cash so far is $114,020 (6th place in the 2011 EPT/UK & Ireland Poker Tour High Roller). Now he has the chance of boosting his bankroll with €288,000. Nordkvist will be up against poker stars such as Benny Spindler, Philipp Gruissem, Joseph Cheong and Igor Kurganov on the final table, so it's impossible to even speculate in who will take down the tournament.

Final table line up

1 Kent Road 317,000
2 Benny Spindler 844,000
3 Joseph Cheong 329,000
4 Joel Nordkvist 1,205,000
5 Keven Stammen 744,000
6 Igor Kurganov 318,000
7 Philipp Gruissem 460,000

Things are really tight in this final table. I’m not referring only to the quality of the players listed, but also on the stack of most of them, which is low when compared with the leader, and that will provoke nice battles, some against each other and others against the chipleader. It will be hard for Joel Nordkvist to hango n his first place.
