Not only a Main Event Champion was crowned yesterday, but also the High Roller event got a winner! Joel Nordkvist from Sweden had a huge lead with 1,2 million chips when the final table kicked off, and his closest opponent was Benny Spindler with about 840k

After several hours of play, Joel Nordkvist was sent packing in third place for €98,500. After the elimination of the Swede, Benny Spindler (Germany) and Keven Stammen (U.S.) were the last men standing. The two spent a little bit of time going over the number before reaching an agreement on a deal. Spindler had the lead and would be getting €223k and Stammen would get €200k, with €30,000, the trophy, the Shamballa Jewells bracelet left to play for.

The heads up lasted for quite some time, with both players taking turns at holding the lead. However, at the end of the night it was Spindler who stood high on the winner's podium. This win marked Spindler's 2 High Roller title, and third EPT title! He won the EPT Tallinn High Roller in 2011, and he also won the EPT London Main Event that same year.

Prize Payouts:
1 - Benny Spindler €253,000 (plus Shamballa bracelet, plus cutlery set)
2 - Keven Stammen €200,000
3 - Joel Nordkvist €98,500
4 - Joseph Cheong €74,100
5 - Kent Roed €57,600
6 - Philipp Gruissem €41,200
7 - Igor Kurganov €32,900
8 - Igor Yaroshevskyy €24,700
9 - Brandon Barnes €20,600
10 - Mikalai Pobal €20,600

It will be difficult for many people on the world to forget who Lederer is and what he represents. The truth is that PS has decided to pick on FT and all the money there was at each player’s account will be returned, but there’s much more than just that. So i guess it weren’t simple players who made those aggressive calls to the casino, but maybe investors. Lederer’s case in on justice and we will have to wait to see how things will going to end for him, there’s no point on anyone to try to do justice for his own hands, this way they’ll be losing all the reason they may have.

Sorry, forget the post above...

Having others growing up at the final table, things took hard for Joel Nordkvist to handle the lead, and the most experienced winner made it again. He looks really young and he already has got three EPT titles on his achievements, better start fixing his name, I bet we will listen a lot more about him in the future. And this agreement was funny. I never saw an agreement with different sums involved. If Spindler had lost, the difference for the winner would be of €7k, besides the bracelet and the cutlery set. This way, as he won, the difference between first and second was of €53k. Did he had a lot more chips than his opponent when they made the agreement?

Big congratulations to him, it seems that he will specialize in high roller events Big Smile

I noticed that the prizes on this edition weren't too high in general but again the participation was not too great either.
