Dan Smith wins the Sunday Million

Tags: Dan Smith, Sunday Million.
Posted on 22 October 2012 by "J".

Dan Smith is a player in form. Not satisfied with booking $3,650,758 in live tournament winnings this year, a large portion of which comes from his €962,925 win in the EPT9 Barcelona Super High Roller, but Smith, just a matter of hours ago, secured first place in the $215 Sunday Million for $219,504.25. It's his largest win on PokerStars and one that will be tough to beat.

Very nice victory, although it represents less than 10% of what he already won just this year (more than 3 million). When we look to the whole pot instead of taking in consideration just the little part which is this last victory, we realize that it wasn't that much. But if we realize that all this money he won this year until now has to be divided with his loaners, i bet that way it must already make a difference in the part that goes to the winner!

Congratulations to him, making so much money only means that he spent much time in learning the game Smile

Also it's interesting that it seems he is both good on live and also online tournaments, which is pretty rare among poker players.

When you're lucky you're lucky, what can we say more ? He can give us 1% of his luck Smile)) and then we can be billionaire :X or we can learn the game and became billionaire Big Smile what do you choice ?

Just wish I could play at Stars or they get something going on for U.S. players since purchasing FultTilt. Tired of dealing with carbon and they're constant changes with software, deposit requirements and overall support doesn't really act on things other then an e-mail stating to use the following reference code when discussing this issue. Come on PS & FT find what the U.S. DOJ wants in order to allow U.S. players aboard.

Sorry to skew off!

Just learn not enough Big Smile Big Smile . First should have LUCK, second should have talent. third Learn the game very much. I play at micro Big Smile Big Smile so I said that ( too many variance and bad beat ), medium is better but luck factor still needed ( maybe real expert not ? ) Smile

this dude is clearly on fire- serpang pointed out well that you should have luck on your side to, not just talent, this is poker, not tennis, or chess- in short span any amateur can outplay you, so when some guy record great result after a great result this is luck at its brightest too. congrats, great performance

Its going to be a long time before PS and FTP are allowed anywhere close to the US market. Rumour has it that when and if online poker is allowed back in the states PS and FTP will have to wait up to 5 years after that to be granted a license, as a punishment for blatantly ignoring the laws of the US and forcing the US into the drastic action they took.

Don't expect to be playing there anytime soon.
