Ilari Sahamies Won $2.2 Million Last Week

It's not a secret that Ilari Sahamies, 2011's biggest winner on PokerStars, has been struggling very hard this year. However, the Finnish poker pro started an amazing winning streak last Monday and had turned -$1.4 million into a $900k profit for the year on Sunday evening.

In total, he won $2.2 million last week and the biggest chunk of those winnings ($777.5k) came from different PLO sessions on Saturday against barcode, Odd_Oddsen, bernard_bb and other regulars at PokerStars' nosebleed tables.

WOW 2.2 millions :| i waiting the day when i withdraw $1000 from poker... and he won 2.2 millions... that's mean to be stacked by PokerStars...

I saw him yeaterday losing 2 pots, each bigger than $ 300K, in less than 3 min. After that he was boiling and left PS without saying a single word.

Exactly Smile The $1M will be enough to live comfortable without doing anything. just lay, relax and trip around the globe. I'm dreaming about it so hard.
Even $500k will be enough in Poland:
- $200k - build house
- $50k - buy new car
- rest - $250k - deposit on bank account and live from %

That all sounds good but it seems ur forgetting the inflation factor m8... those 250k in the bank now its a nice sum, but if u would live out of the interests in 20 years or so wud be hard to pay ur bills. besides that new 50k car i bet spends a lot of gas lol so u better aim for at least 1,5 million to make ur plan real.

I guess ur right, not just in poland, 3,5k is a very nice sum to live anywhere in the world if ur not a big spender... still... i would still only buy a clio to drive around lol.

maybe he has bigger expenses than $3500 a month? maybe they look more like 35000 a month? what then? so he has to dig deep at the poker tables in order to secure himself an easy living afterwards Big Smile though gambling on poker tables doesn't look like a very good idea, but hey anyone can use their money as they like

I remembered about a good joke one can use for this case, just hope no one gets offended. If Ilari Sahamies had a social media acount, he could think about writing something like this, everyone would laugh and understand exactly what he meant. “Be here at the tables is so much better than beer at the bar” (just can’t stop laugh alone, having “be here” sounding like “beer” Blink! But the most important is that he seems recovered, he is doing well this year (I didn’t knew he was on the red side, all the late news told us he was doing fine) and hopefully that dark past is just that, past. I hope to hear more good news about Sahamies, I know he can make better and he’s a great player!
