 We are looking to hire a full-time social media expert and web developer with SEO knowledge. Maybe one of our Mobsters out there fits the description! The job is located in Malta, but if you're the right one for the job, you can possibly work from abroad as well. In this case, we would like to see you in Malta for a few weeks first, to introduce you to the team and your tasks.
Your main focus will be working with BankrollMob. We are trying to increase our presence on social media networks, mainly Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus, where you will be engaging your fellow Mobsters on a daily basis in discussions, promotions etc. This in order to drive even more Mobsters back to our site and also to help solve questions/issues through social media channels.
You will also be assistant web developer on projects related to BankrollMob and other sites, so you will need to be capable of developing in mainly ASP, but also PHP, and have MySQL and SEO knowledge. We assume that you know your way around HTML, JavaScript and CSS as well. A combination of both social media and web development will take place too, as you will be in charge of finding more ways to integrate social media into BankrollMob and optimize it.
Requirements (skills needed):
* Social Media expert: You need to be able to engage our users on social media networks and keep them active, and also having knowledge on how to integrate social media into our website. You should also keep yourself up-to-date on what moves in the social media world, trends etc. Facebook is most important, but you should also have some knowledge about Twitter and Google Plus.
* ASP Classic & PHP: You need to know how to code in both ASP and PHP (mainly ASP). Having knowledge about security in ASP and PHP (to avoid sql injections, cross-site scripting etc.) is a must.
* Search Engine Optimization: You need basic understanding of SEO and you should be willing to learn more and keep yourself up-to-date with the latest in terms of SEO, trends etc. "SEO experts" are preferred as you will also be in charge of our overall SEO strategy, by optimizing and analyzing using Google Analytics and other tools available.
* HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
* MySQL.
* English speaking/writing skills should be good as you'll also be producing content/articles, like when updating Facebook etc.
* Dedicated, loyal and responsible.

| BRM keeps concentrated in getting the best professional for this job. It will be nice to have someone from admin talking to us in the social media, giving more activity to us and potential new members. I think the site itself will win some new features… If this effort in hiring as the objective of improving our relation with the site, that means it’s all for the best. | So, any news about this. Have you already started doing any selection of the applications you received by now? I believe it must have been a lot, and that it will a hard time to make the first selection: to separate those who qualify from those who don’t qualify. Only after you can start trying to rank them in terms of who seems to have better qualifications for what you need. Good luck with that!

Ha ha, I hope he got a pay increase commensurate with his increase in responsibilities.
As for the job, I'm underqualified (More of a hardware guy) but would love an excuse to go to Malta.

| And there’s only one more day left to send the application to BRM. I am sure it should be great to work with BRM. All of this poker environment involving the full time job must be something different from what many of us are used to identify as a job. I can imagine the boss tapping the official worker on his back: “Hey, what are you doing!? Playing poker and chating?” and the newbie says: “No boss, excuse me boss, they told me I had to do this boss, that this was my job boss, I thought I was doing right boss, right?” It would be a great experience for me. Having the opportunity to join a group that is concerned with the pleasure of the audience for whom it works. A company specializing in improving the leisure time of its users, using the best professionals to do it, which, in this particular case, will be those who can pass the message as simple and convenient as possible to the customer, using the various platforms available on the Internet. | 15 days have passed since BRM stopped receiving applications to the social media expert job and we never knew anything else about this job. I believe it shouldn’t be easy to choose among a lot of curriculums that they must have received, so this two weeks probably still weren’t enough to decide who will take the place. But I wonder if they are thinking about bringing the result to the community... After all, it is just a new member that is entering for a team that we just don’t know at all, only through some of the members that have the responsibility of answering our doubts in the forum. Revealing his identity, or even if it is just revealing his nick, can be to increase the pressure over his work. It all depends on how his work will be done. If part of the job is to use social media to spread the word of BRM, this can be done either using his nick or simply signing “BankrollMob”. So, can you at least tell us if the new team member has already been chosen?
