Ilari Sahamies to "Isildur1": "I have lost $500k"

One of Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies' worst sessions in months came yesterday as he lost just about $490,000 in 1,573 hands on PokerStars nosebleed tables. Most of the money he lost ended up in "Bernard-bb" and Rafi "refaelamit" Amit pockets at a $100/$200 6-Max PLO table.

Apart from that he also lost some money to Viktor "Isildur1" Blom on a $50/$100 Heads-up PLO table. Sahamies, who was the biggest winner on PokerStars last year with a $2 million profit, has had a bad start to 2012 and is now down about $500,000.

Nosebleed can be dramatic, and Ilari Sahamies just got the proof of that. It will not be easy to recover this debt, maybe he should think about entering some big MTT to see if things turn better for is side. And the way pros talk about $500k… it’s scary!

That is nothing. This guys used to lose $500k in a single hand in past, so i think he will recover his loss soon. Smile

cool probably nice feeling to lose half a million is a few hours, he thinks pokerstars is rigged by now, lol. just wonder why blom didn't go after a tilty ilary, was it because of respect, or maybe he was broke at that time himself, or just didn't have the time...anyway i think he had the chance to clean out ilary even further

Pot Limit Omaha is a high variance game and the swings are very huge, the pots are frequently huge so the wins but also the losses could be huge.

When you think that Ilari last year on pokerstars made a + 2 mil dollars profit it's not really that much...

Still 500k is a ton of money but i'm sure he'll be back soon Big Smile

It's only the gfirst quarter of the year. If he averages losing that much each quarter he'll make it to 2013 with his 2 mil he won in 2011 gone. Honestly I don't think that will happen. He'll turn it around starting early April!
