The final table of the Latin American Poker Tour Grand Final in Sau Paulo was played yesterday. The biggest name on the final table was the Canadian Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. But unfortunately he didn't last all the way and ended up going out already in 6th place.

The winner of the tournament ended up being Daniele Nestola after sending Gasperino Nicolas to the rail. For the win the German poker pro received $289,300 and the biggest cash of his poker career. A well deserved win for Nestola who came to the final table with the largest stack.

Final Table Results:
1 Daniele Nestola 289,300
2 Gasperino Nicolas 250,000
3 Carlos Ibarra 148,840
4 Felipe Morbiducci 89,570
5 Jonathan Markovits 64,540
6 Daniel Negreanu 48,730
7 Vitor Torres 35,560
8 Juan Gonzalez 26,340

Nestola managed to keep first all the way in the final table, and Negreanu, a little different from what I have predicted, came out in 6th. When the final table was set, he was 5th, I guess he must have tried his luck against a monster hand, it’s impossible not to be afraid of playing against someone like him, his opponents will always have that pressure. And who was the player that send him home? That is a story to tell to his grandsons, greater than the prize money!

once again we see that being a "pro" means nothing at poker- even tons of practice, millions of hands played online and in major live tournaments doesn't give you any bigger edge than the simple luck...i guess it would be a good bet to go against a big name who is leading the tournament...

I tought that Daniel Negreanu would win this tournament, but I think that the poker gods were not with him that day to finish higher in the tournament.
