On Sunday night, as a part of PokerStars SuperStar Showdown, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Isaac "philivey2694" Haxton sat down at four $100/$200 No Limit Hold'em tables with $300,000 each. Blom, who lost the previous SuperStar Showdown against Haxton, took the lead straight away and was up $70k after about 500 hands of play.

Isildur1's lead grew to $95k after the match had been going on for an hour. At that point not only had the poker gods turned against Haxton but also his Internet connection due to stormy weather in Malta, where he's currently residing. The heads-up went on a break for about 40 minutes before Haxton managed to reconnect again.

Then it only took 5 minutes before he lost the connection again. The tournament went on another 30-40 minute break. When play picked up for the third time they only managed to play 11-12 minutes before another blackout.

Isildur1 and Haxton decided to stop playing after this and the game will resume tonight at 2pm EST (18:000 GMT). In total, 692 of 2,500 hands have been played and Isildur1 is leading by $100k. It will be interesting to see if Haxton can get back into the match with his remaining $200,000.

Bad luck for Haxton. If things were already dark in the game, the dark weather came to increase his negative thoughts about those HU. Blom can be laughing right now, but there are still lots of hands to play, they only made 20% of the event.

Looking forward to the continuation of this event on pokerstars but from the looks of it Viktor really dominated the entire match Big Smile

If you ask me it's hard to think that Isaac will be able to come back, just my 0.2 cents...

Looks like the weather is better now @SuperNoob, BRM already gave us the rest of the story of the match, that continued yesterday and… well I am not going to satisfy your curiosity here, it is better if you read today’s (3/14) news here at BRM!

Unlucky lol lol lol...I wish I could play like them llol...I wonder how do they do it..Almost always same people at these games..who knows why? it';s maybe they are so good at poker and when other people are involved in a hand against them are a bit frightened so they start with a handicap...it's very rummy...Have someone ever played a player like Islidur1 or Phil ? I wonder how the did it!! and what they would have to say about such an opponent.. I think these guys born with those poker skills..
