The 2012 Irish Open main event kicked off last Friday and saw a field of 502 players. Today, 3 days later, there are only 9 players left and the final table is about to begin. Unfortunately the final table won't include as many big names as it could have had since both Freddy Deeb and Phil Hellmuth hit the rail during day 3.

However, this doesn't mean that the final table today will be boring. All of the remaining players really deserve to be on the final table and it will be really interesting to see who will take down the tournament and the amazing €420,000 first prize. Ian Simpson will lead the way with 2,007,000 chips, closely followed by David "Dixie" Dean with 1,986,000. Andy Black has 808k left and he's by far the most experienced of all the finalists, so don't be surprised if he takes home the whole thing!

Seat 1: Ian Simpson (2,007,000)
Seat 2: David "Dixie" Dean (1,986,000)
Seat 3: Thomas Beer (1,319,000)
Seat 4: Kevin Vandersmissen (492,000)
Seat 5: Andrew Black (808,000
Seat 6: Philip Magennis (632,000)
Seat 7: Samuel Chartier (582,000
Seat 8: Steve Watts (1,519,000)
Seat 9: Jordan Lewis (685,000)

Andrew Black can be the most experienced player on the table but he will have to make an extra effort if he wants to get the final three. Higher blinds can be enough to send away any of the players with less than 1,000,000 chips at this point.

Frankly just a few known poker names but again i'm more familiar to internet usernames than real names...

Still the game should be pretty good and definately worth to watch. Looking forward to the next report about this tournament!
