Yesterday we wrote about Justin Bonomo and what a fantastic chance he had to take down his second EPT Monaco High Roller event as he carried a massive lead to the final table. But unfortunately nothing seemed to work for Bonomo on the final table and he fell short in bid for a second High Roller title after getting knocked out in 4th place by Daniel Negreanu.
Negreanu played extremely well on the final table and after several hours of thrilling final table action he ended up playing heads-up against Igor Kurganov for the title. Daniel and Igor traded the chip lead back and forth in the final stages, each doubling up and then being knocked back down. However, it was Igor Kurganov who had the poker gods on his side and eventually all of Negreanu chips as well. Daniel Negreanu received €598,600 for his second place. Kurganov got incredible €1,080,000 for the win!
