After winning eight straight matches (Jason Mo in the final), Brian Hastings was the last man standing in Event #12: $10,000 buy-in Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em! For his victory, the 23-year-old American poker pro received his first WSOP gold bracelet and $371,498.
Even though $371k is a lot of money it's still peanuts compared to what Hastings has won online. For example: he won $4.18 million in a single session against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom a few years ago.
"I've had much bigger scores than this online," Hastings confided moments after his victory. "But there's only one gold bracelet and this means more than the money to me."
