2,300 survivors from Day 1c played Day 2c today, and it took five 2-hour levels of play before the field had been narrowed down to about 900 players. Michael Hack (picture) finished the day with the largest stack (457,000), closely followed by Marco Bognanni (452,100).
Notables who made it through the day with healthy stacks include Jake Cody, Joseph Cheong, Ravi Raghavan, Ronnie Bardah, Ben Lamb, Antonio Esfandiari and Johnny Chan.
Famous players who didn't surive the day include Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, , Gus Hansen,Jennifer Harman, Michael Mizrachi and former WSOP Main Event champions Jamie Gold (2006), Joe Cada (2009) and Tom McEvoy (1983).
There are now approximately 1,765 players left in the Main Event and the chip leader is still Gaelle Baumann (picture) from Day 2b with 505,800 chips. The total net prize pool is $62,021,200 and 666 players will get a piece of it. The winner of the tournament will take home nothing less than $8,527,982!
