The second day of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris main event saw a field of 228 players. It was a very slow day, with nobody really willing to put their entire stack at risk. On the final 30-minute level, five or six players had about 100k each and battled for the top spot.
When the tournament crew called it a day, after about 14 hours of play, 143 players had chips left and the French composor and singer-songwriter Gregoire Boissenot was in the lead with 95,000 chips - about 130,200 chips behind Day 1a chip leader Jacques Enjoubault.
194 players will return to the tables in a few hours and continue the road towards the final table. Day 2 will defiantly be more interesting and action-filled than Day 1b because notables such as Juha Helppi, Theo Jorgensen and Justin Bonomo (all from Day 1a with healthy stacks) will be participating. We will return tomorrow morning with a recap of Day 2. Stay tuned!
