Sorel Mizzi Wins partypoker Premier League VII ($466,000)

A big congratulations to Sorel Mizzi, the winner of the star-filled $125,000 PartyPoker Premier League VII. The event, which consisted of 12 world-known poker professionals, wrapped up yesterday after several days of play at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada.

The players battled it out in six eight-handed heats before the final table and received points based on finishing position in each heat. The overall top 4 earners (Dan Colman, Jeff Gross, Sorel Mizzi, and Brian Rast) automatically qualified for the final table while the next four point earners (Jason Koon, Jonathan Duhamel, Scott Seiver, and Daniel "jungleman" Cates) had to play best-of-three heads-up matches for the last 2 spots at the 6-handed final table (Koon and Rast qualified). Besides the prizes at the final table, players received $2,000 for each point earned in the preliminary heats.

Hmm party poker is still going strong from what I am seeing, they are getting the promotions in good and they are attracting mostly fishes, and all the regulars was leaving some time back. Not sure how the state there anymore have not been there for a while.

Anyway nice for him to win a huge cash. Close to half a million.

This is a great achievement by Sorel Mizzi to best a field like this. Mizzi has been around a while and always seems to be thereabouts in a lot of tournaments. Great feeling for him to come out on top in this field. Congrats again

The size of field = 12
This shows the state of poker and peoples money situations right now, that cash flow that was around five six years ago is gone.

I like how two douchebaggins won fuck all, cates and Duhamel.
