The big day has arrived! The long-awaited 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event final table is about to start and the remaining 9 players have a $26,662,046 prize pool to play for, including the first prize of $8,359,531 that comes along with the coveted WSOP gold bracelet!

The cards will be in the air at 5:30 PM Las Vegas time in the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino's Penn & Teller Theater. According to WSOP's website, ESPN2 will cover Monday's action, which begins with 9 players until only 3 remain. On Tuesday, November 5 at 6.00 PM, ESPN will broadcast the final day of play!

JC Tran is the big favourite to take down the whole thing. The 36-year-old poker professional from Sacramento, California has 44 previous WSOP cashes, including 2 WSOP gold bracelets and a WSOP Circuit Ring! Tran will enjoy an 8 million chip advantage over his closest opponent at the final table (Amir Lehavot) and the question is: Will anyone be able to stop him?

Below you'll find some information on all the finalists (from WSOP.com - click to enlarge). May the best man win!

I don't like the idea of having a break and then having the players compete for the graal after the competition started like months ago. It breaks the momentum but nevertheless it has it advantages, the other players can focus on the opponents and improve their game towards them.

Anyway picking JC Tran to win it!

This is quite unsuaul a FT for a major event like the WSOP as all the players bar Farber are very good and have over $100k in earnings from poker.
Tran is a favourite but as we know anything and everything can happen and probably will.

The break until now just seems ridiculous - I can't see any benefit at all for the public, fans or the players really. It will feel like the most lucrative 9-man Sit n Go they have ever been in.

they should definitely scrap the november 9. the wait for months does nothing for the tourney. all the other poker players are in vegas for the world series and they should play it out there and then. imagine waiting for months if you were made the final table, would never get to sleep!
