The two starting days of the European Poker Tour London Main Event are in the history books. 131 of 236 players made it through Day 1A and 225 of 411 survived Day 1B. The overall chip leader is no one else than Sergio Aido, of Spain, with 215,200 chips - about 50k more than his closest opponents.
The Spaniard is on an incredible winning streak at the moment. Apart from taking down PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour London Main Event on Sunday, he chopped a £1,000 NLH turbo event for £20,000 with former EPT Montle Carlo winner Nicolas Chouity last week.
Day 2 of the tournament begins in a few hours and 356 players will return to the tables. There are plenty of big names left in the field: Viktor Blom, Barry Greenstein, Jason Mercier, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Philipp Gruissem and Tobias Reinkemeier (just to mention a few).
We are not certain whether or not the prize pool (Minimum cash £8000. The winner gets £700,000) will be reached during Day 2, but we do know that it will be a very thrilling day of poker! Besides Viktor Blom, Barry Greenstein and other well-known players mentioned above, it will be really interesting to see how things turn out for Mr. Segio Aido!
