In case you missed it: Last Tuesday PokerStars began the countdown to its 95 billionth hand (Road To 100 Billion Promotion) with $1,000,000 is cash to play for. On Monday, hand ninety-five billion was dealt on a $0.08/$0.16 No-Limit Hold'em table and action froze while PokerStars set up the hand. One of 9 players would take home the Mega Milestone payout, the rest would get a minimum of $10,000 each! But before the milestone hand was dealt... things turned into high drama
Player got disconnected
Just about the same time as Lee Jones (Head of Home Games) had appeared to congratulate the players and explain what was going to happen, "MenFedlak" from Hungary was disconnected. PokerStars called MenFedlak and he was back at the table within a few minutes. But it didn't take long before his connection went again. PokerStars gave him a 30-minute window to connect to the Internet, but apparently it wasn't enough for him to reconnect and, aside from him, all players went all in.
It looked for some time like "Domy07" had taken it all as the side pots were played out. But the last player to show his hand, "RichB17", had made a runner-runner straight with 4J and ended up taking down the hand for $23,920!
