The time was just before 2am on Wednesday when two heavily armed robbers ran into the facilities of the Royal Casino in Århus, Denmark. According to witnesses, one robber threatened the casino staff in the entrance and reception with a big gun while the other robber went to the cashier and demanded cash.
"Everyone was hiding under the tables just in case they would start shooting," a witness told a Danish newspaper.
The police don't want to say how much money the robbers got away with as it could encourage others to do something similar, but a witness claims that it was around 200,000 danish crowns (approx. 26,833 euro). Below is a short video clip of the robbery.
Wow what a quick way to get away with 26+ thousand Euros! I don't know how or why there's not more security or preventive measures in place just in case this was to ever occur. And, obviously it did! It just seem's like there'd be more in place then being able to run in a door and back out with a load of cash so fast. Think they're playing on-line poker today!
well i don't know about Denmark but 26,000 pounds sure don't get you a lot over here! really bad there isn't more security there and i wouldn't feel safe going to that place now that this has happened.
WHAT...??? THAT sort of thing goes on in Denmark....??? Somehow I think of those Scandinavian countries as being relatively crime free,...and where almost nobody owns a gun...
Posted by Bigritefoot: This is impressive. In and out in about 40 seconds! It takes that long for the automatic doors to even open at my local casino!
Huh and i think we could robber some casino from UK bad dreams... btw... when they hit something like that they really know how it work all business and they just hit and run without fear or risk because they know what to do...
@lukasb: hmmm...i know i don't have that many braincells to remember what countries are considered Scandinavian...but always thought Denmark was one of them, and what do you know- it seems that i am correct ( http://goscandinavia.about.com/od/scandinaviatripplanni... )

You're very wrong. According to the stats prepared by Sydney University, the Finland is on the 4th place in the world (after the USA, Yemen and Switzerland) with 46% gun posession. Sweden is on the 10th place - with 32%, Norway - 11th place - 31%... Denmark is much lower - 54th place with 12%.
My country is one of the lowest - 142nd place of 178
Wow you got to be pretty silly or got giant balls to be doing such a robbery in a casio. Howere it's been a few in the past mounths to be rob like that. How freak should it be for all the customer out there and how to react when your in the security...
