The second day of Event #55: The Poker Players Championship ($50,000 buy-in) came to an end a few moments ago. David Benyamine will lead the final 78 out of 132 players into Day 3 of the tournament with a stack of 729,000, and Jonathan Duhamel (Day 1 chip leader) is not far behind with 666,100 chips.

Besides Benyamine and Duhamel, there are lots of poker stars among the remaining squad of players. However, the most notable one has to be Mr. Doyle Brunson! That's right! The godfather of poker is playing his first (and most probably only) event at the 2013 World Series of Poker. He will bring 265k to Day 3 and, according to his twitter, there are several side bets on how well he will do it in the tournament. So far it's looking pretty good. It will be interesting to follow him during Day 3!

David Benyamine netter not start singing as there's a lot of game still to be played. Having Duhamel so close is already a nice sign to have eyes well opened during the entire game, although leading can let harder hands to be easily fold. Nice to see Doyle Brunson is still there, hope he gets to the final table, although it will be very dificult and no one will turn his way easier, as everyone wants the same!

An influx of late entrants on Day 2 pushed the overall number of runners in the Poker Players Championship to 132, generating a final prizepool of $6,336,000. Doyle Brunson ''The godfather of poker'' is playing his first (and most probably only) event at the 2013 World Series of Poker,on 33rd place!

Big congratulations to Doyle to his participation on this WSOP!

I think he mean it when he stated some time ago that we will continue to play live poker all his life no matter how old it will be Smile

I've watched that Benyamine play quite a few times on TV. I think he's a very good player. Very crafty guy him,....and quite a modest guy too....

Not the kind of guy looking for the camera time,...just to win poker with no crap like some of the clowns that are found on the circuit... Thumbs Up
