On Monday, 888 Poker announced via a press release that they had signed Australian poker professional Jackie Glazier to be the ambassador for its Team 888poker. Glazier wrote a piece of history at the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event by finishing in 31st place for $229,281 (last woman standing in the Main Event).
Although many of you might not have heard of Jackie Glazier before the 2013 Main Event, she's not new to the live poker scene with several wins and cashes under her belt, including a second place finish in the 2012 WSOP $3k NHL event for nearly half a million and a win at the 2012 Melbourne Poker Champion Main Event for $98k. In total, she has won $1.1 million between 2008 and 2013.
Jackie Glazier commented on her new sponsorship, "I am so excited to be joining Team 888poker. I look forward to heaps of fun playing poker all around the world with such a great group of people."
Glazier's will make her first appearance with the 888-badge at the 2013 WSOPE in Paris. She will play in several events, including the €10,450 Main Event. According to the press release, 888 Poker will offer players a chance to join her at the WSOPE in a special $5,750 WSOPE side package freeroll. The Jackie Glazier Freeroll will take place Sunday July 28th @ 20:00 AEST (10:00 GMT - 11). First place wins a $5,500 WSOPE side event package and $250 cash bounty on Jackie "Jackstar888" Glazier.
