While most of the bigtime pros is in Las Vegas for the WSOP Isildur seems to have decided against it, and can you really blame him? Who wants to sit endless hours at the Rio for an entire week just to (maybe) be able to book the same profit as you can over two sessions online?
Im guessing Isildur is rubbing his hands in front of the screen and thinking exactly that during these hours.
With another great session yesterday evening and night, he reached an overall profit of $ 1,180,000 for the last two days. A number that in itself is staggering high, but will be put further into perspective by the fact that it is more or less exactly the same as one were to win by finishing seventh at the WSOP Main Event.
The day before yesterday it was a short session at the No Limit Hold'em tables where the young Swede struck gold, while this time around it's been both NLHE and the expensive fixed limit games.
One of the players who got hit the hardest was Kyle 'KPR16' Ray, who have lost approximately $ 425,000 in just over 1000 hands on FLO8 with blinds at $ 2000/4000.
Hopefully for all the railbirds the games will keep going and the pots and the swings will be both entertaining and equally enormous.

Makes sense unless you want WSOP glory to go with your money. How nice it would be to make over a million in three hours though.

The Viktor “Isildur1” Blom train was finally derailed last night as Phil “OMGClayaiken” Galfond crushed the young Swede for over $1 million online.
It was a wild weekend on Full Tilt Poker as Isildur1 began by beating Ben “Sauce1234” for $619k in $400/$800 PLO on Friday.
On Saturday Isildur1 continued to roll with a massive $500,000+ victory over Alex “Kanu7” Millar in $300/$600 No-Limit Hold’em. Isildur1 also renewed acquaintances with Sauce1234 later that day and beat him for another $300,000+.
Sulsky, the biggest high-stakes winner in 2012, is down nearly $2 million on Full Tilt Poker this year.
It wasn’t all good for Isildur1 on Saturday, however, as he dumped over $500k to Galfond near the end of the day. It ended up being a sign of things to come.

On Sunday Isildur1 finally hit the huge downswing that many in the community had been expecting.
Isildur1 played a manic 1,973-hand $300/$600 PLO session against Galfond that saw him continually quit, win at other games, but then return to get stomped by Galfond.
By the time Isildur1 finally slinked off into the night for good he was down $1.07 million.
With the victory Gafond became the second biggest winner on FTP this year with $1.3 million in profit.
According to hsdb.com Isildur1 was up over $5 million on Full Tilt Poker in 2013 before his disastrous session against Galfond yesterday.
Isildur1 remains the biggest winner on Full Tilt with about $4 million in profit on the site but if the young Scandinavian is known for anything it’s not taking losses very well.

The guy has made quite a name for himself since rising up to the big time...
Probably one of the most dynamic players win/loss wise in the majors...
One day he's a millionaire,....the next he's living in a brown cardboard box under a bridge somewhere,...
...the next day he's a millionaire again,...and so on....

| I didn't think about it that way, but I guess Blom is. Hell if one can make as much playing like him versus going to the big show in the states why not. Besides does Blom have to pay the taxes playing online versus if he were playing at the WSOP? Just curious about that end of it!

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom continued to dominate the high stakes scene with another impressive profit
After grinding his way through 1,343 hands the Swedish pro banked $653,464 to finish his session well ahead of the day's second biggest winner, "cottonseed1" ($76,973).
Blom's latest win pushed his 2013 profit to $5,123,652, which is enough to put him almost $2,000,000 ahead of "cottonseed1" who has scooped $3,172,574.

Might have had a big downswing but he's still in the profit for this year and probably will stay like so. It's not unheard from him to have upswings/downswings of hundreds of thousands but for someone with a br like he has its the same as me losing or winning a few bucks.

Thats quite a tasty win overall, but the investment starts at ridiculously high levels to start with so to beat him you need to be well bankrolled in the first place dontcha!........
So! Pochui, how about if everyone at BRM put in $1 and then we chose one mobster to play with the proceeds, we could see whether any mobster could beat him!

If Isildur (or Vik, as I call him ) was to play on someone else's account, he would not be anywhere near as successful. His game is based on intimidation and fear. It's the same thing that most major pros use to be successful in the live circuit, and you'll see that most of them don't translate too well to online poker.... because people just refuse to be scared if they don't know who they are playing against.
Isidur is more successful BECAUSE he has these huge downswings from time to time... it gives people the impression they can beat him - and obviously - they will sometimes. But he has the bankroll to keep coming back and he knows he has the skills to win in the long run.
Anyone playing against him at the nosebleed stakes doesn't NEED to win for the money... it's about saying "I took $xxxxxxx off Isildur - look how good I am" And I think when he loses, he takes it badly not because of the hit to his (likely infinite) bankroll, but because of the hit to his incredibly fragile ego.
Good player - yes. But IMO, not in the same league as Negreanu, Ivey, Esfandiari et all when it comes to pure poker skill.

Even if it looks like a big amount of cash VIktor can lose twice as much in one of those sick sessions lol
I think with a tighter bankroll management he could have become the biggest online winner in the poker history but since he has sessions in which he loses all his profit it will always have a modest profit.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom's recent upswing hit a six-figure roadblock last night after he suffered a $297,601 downswing.
Whilst Blom was enduring his first significant loss for a number of weeks, "Denoking" was enjoying a $520,648 win.
After grinding through 1,322 hands the online pro finished top of the daily profit chart ahead of "MalACEsia" ($331,980) and "Call_911" ($81,709).

How many of my fellow BRMobbaz would metaphorically kill just to have these dude's SNE benefits (particularly rakeback)?  I don't blame Blom for skipping the WSOP, since his game is optimized for online nosebleed ring games, particularly multi-tabling against the same opponent heads-up.
I wonder how Izzy's doing on dem back taxes? lol

Oh fa sho . . . he is the King of Swings for good reason! There was some lame on Poker Table Ratings who would always brag on that she lost like $125 bucks from him in like 3 hands lol . . . she typically only played as high as NL50, but moved up to like NL500 just to round a few hands with him. The entire online poker world revolves around him, because the grinders and regs wanna have his aura and the railbirds love to gossip about the maniac. 
Those other pros you mentioned are definitely more disciplined, but KidPoker sucks at cash games, as he got destroyed by Izzy in their first SuperStar Challenge showdown, but actually won the second time. Ivey is one of the best overall (online and live, cash and tourney), and Antonio is definitely a wiz . . . I love hearing his insight during big tourneys; it's always a nice contrast to Lon's play-by-play and Norm's hilarious color commentary.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom might not have travelled to Las Vegas this year, but according to a recent tweet he'd need to have made the Main Event's final table to match his profits from the last two weeks.
According to the official payouts, this year's fifth place finisher will earn $2,106,526 and Blom's main account has tracked winnings of $1,418,645.
Moreover, with other accounts and investments, it's likely Blom has made a healthy sum of money on the side, which certainly confirms his decision to stay at home.
This year Blom has banked $4,459,247 and currently sits above "cottonseed1" ($3,447,150) and "PostflopAction" ($2,714,965) on the 2013 leaderboard.

But still it's nice to see that loose agressive styles can win big, because if there were only TAG players the game wouldn't be as much fun.

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom's recent upswing has hit a severe roadblock in the last few days.
Following a string of six-figure losses, the Swedish pro saw another $373,344 disappear from his bankroll in the last 24 hours.
The loss was enough to put him top of the daily deficit chart ahead of "Kagome Kagome" who lost a relatively meagre $75,770.
Benefiting the most from Blom's slide was Kyle "KPR16" Ray as he finished the day ahead of "Trueteller" ($102,976) with a $354,754 profit.
While Blom's downswing hasn't affected his standing atop of the annual leaderboard, his overall profit has now slipped closer to the $4 million mark thanks to a $626,820 drop in the last 48 hours.

| This guy is a phenom. I dont blame him for not wanting to go to Vegas when he can earn the same money sitting at his desk or on his favourite chair. The money is all that counts in the end not the titles
