The three-day EPT Barcelona High Roller (buy-in €10,000+€300 ) saw a record field of 180 entries - about 40 entries more of the previous record at EPT Season 9 in Berlin - and the biggest chunk of the massive €1,800,000 prize went to Thomas Muhlocker, who defeated Daniel Negreanu heads-up after an incredible comeback.

After eliminating Jean-Noel Thorel in third place, Negreanu was sitting on a massive 7.7 million stack to Muhlocker's 1.3 million. At this point, no one believed that the young Austrian pro would stand a chance against the almighty Team PokerStars Pro. But poker can be very cruel sometimes and that's something that Negreanu got to experience.

First, he was dealt two fours and Muhlocker a pair of aces, which resulted in a double for the Austrian. Not long after he got the same pair of fours and lost another all-in against Muhlocker's pocket nines. Then it didn't take long before he was dealt AHeartQSpade and lost his final chips to Muhlocker's AClubKSpade on the board KHeartTClub9Heart5Spade6Heart.

Thomas Muhlocker received €390,700 (the biggest cash of his entire career) and a Slyde watch while Negreanu received €263,800 for his second place finish, which put him on top of the Global Poker Index Player of the Year rankings!
