A field of 224 players entered Day 1A of the £4,250 European Poker Tour London Main Event. The field was reduced to approximately 130 survivors after eight levels of play and Anatoly Filatov bagged up the most chips. The Russian pro, who has a WPT high roller title and an EPT High Roller second place finish on his poker resume, will bring 173,900 chips to Day 2, which begins on Tuesday.
"That was a good day, I ran so good," Filatov said. "It wasn't like 'up and down', it was just up!"
Just to mention a few familiar names that made it through Day 1A: Marvin Rettenmaier (66,100), Jason Mercier (33,600), Dominik Panka (74,400), Max Silver (26,400), James Dempsey (93,900), Christoph Vogelsang (48,400), Eugene Katchalov (74,300) and David Vamplew (54,300).
We will be back with another brief update tomorrow morning!
