The 5th day of the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event was a short day of poker as only 12 players had to be eliminated before the tournament had reached its official final table of eight. Madis Muur will bring the largest stack (6.2 million) to today's final table (begins at 12 p.m. local time) and Pascal Lefrancois and Mike "Timex" McDonald are not far behind. The latter is not just having a great chance to claim the $1.8 million first prize, but also to create poker history...

Back in 2008, at the age of 18, McDonald won the EPT Dortmund Main Event for $1,4 million and created himself a name on the live tournament circuit. Now, six years later, he has the chance of becoming the first person ever to win two Main Event titles! He has come close before. In EPT season 5 he finished 5th in the Dortmund Main Event and next season he scored a 3rd place finish in Deauville!

We will be back tomorrow morning with a recap of the final table!

Final table line up:

Madis Muur 6,205,000
Mike McDonald 5,605,000
Pascal Lefrancois 5,595,000
Dominik Panka 3,695,000
Fabian Ortiz 3,040,000
Isaac Baron 2,995,000
Daniel Gamez 1,885,000
Shyam Srinivasan

Looks like Mike Mcdonald as a great chance of adding another title to his list. Still a way to go in this tournament and i will be looking forward to reading who wins this thing. Good luck to all those still playing this tournament

It would be great if Mike would be able to finally break this record, that is to have two EPT titles Smile

It's tru that lately i did not heard much out of him but i remember his win back in 2008. I have no time now but i will watch the recorded video of the final table for sure!

Well that would be sick for the Mike guy to do that, seems incredible no one has doen it before now.

Must just be amazing to know the final table is set and you're involved and in with a chance of life changing money. Every one of those stacks has a chance to become champion, 4 mill is a small stack difference between SS and BS.

Currently Mike "Timex" McDonald is on the lead.

It seems that the final table is going to last forever.
I hope Ortiz can double -up his chips and make a good come back to win the tournament, although he is not playing to many hands at the moment. He needs to loosing his range a little bit or he will be eat by blinds.

Gl all!

Thumbs Up
